      I am going to say what I did elsehwere:

      One thing as a Canadian that I find very shocking is how in the U.S. right now people are trying to pretend Charlie Kirk was something he wasn’t…

      He was a man dedicated against LGBTQ+ Rights.

      He was a man dedicated against modern Women’s Rights.

      He was a man that has made some horrific comments about other races/ethnicities.

      I worry that many in the U.S. are losing the ability to think in complex ways about subjects. Charlie Kirk did a form of violence to countless vulnerable communities.

      Charlie Kirk was not some enlightened figure promoting peace and honest positive discourse. He was part of a machine that is pumping lowest common denominator/one dimensional dialogue and by extension thinking. He is one of the reason the U.S. and frankly world politics is becoming more and more reactionary and regressive.

      He was in many ways a bully against the most in need and he even went as far to speak against their basic human rights.

      What a bunch of pathetic cowards. This collapse of any kind of moral compass or courage by corporations should be remembered for a long time. Because they will reboot another version of rainbow capitalism and girl bossing in a post Trump, post AIPAC world. They are never on our side. Never forgive these cowards.

      I am not ok with what is happening to this country. More accurately, I am terrified, disgusted, despondent, and fucking angry. These are unprecedented times. Our culture has always been the same (we disagree, have conflicts, we are diverse, but in the end we’ve been united), but only since the rise of that Orange Id have hate, violence and retribution toward the vulnerable or simply those with opposing views been normalized and encouraged. I am tired of it. Our country is changing for the worst. This is not normal.

      Also this is more complicated than Disney pulling the plug, Nexstar own over 30 ABC affiliates and were refusing to air the show and others were going to follow so nobody was going to see any of the shows

      So one of two things will happen here, he is either forced to apologise on air or he stands by his comments (which he should IMO) and the show is cancelled

      This whole situation is fucking stupid

      US on their way to transition to only airing state run media. It’s only been 9 months and there’s still 3 more years to go. He was taunting Jimmy after Colbert was let go. This is insane. Free speech for me but not for thee assholes.
