I get that Newsom’s social media team is doing a solid job, and that Newsom himself isn’t the “pure savior” many on the left dream of, but is there any legit chance that there are democrats *actually* doing something to stop the madness? Or is this all just performative bluster?

He’s absolutely right. And I’d give him an ounce of credit for that statement if he didn’t spend days talking about carrying on Charlie Kirk’s legacy. He’s just trying to save face with all the people who are upset with him for that.
