Justin Baldoni Hires Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Lawyer in Blake Lively Case | E! News

Justin Baldoni is adding a big name to his legal team. According to court records obtained by People’s September 18th, the actor is enlisting criminal defense attorney Alexandra Shapiro to represent him in his ongoing legal battle against his It Ends With Us co-star Blake Lively with the outlet reporting that the attorney has since gone on to formally declare her role on Justin’s legal team in a notice of appearance filing. Shapiro is a well-known appellet lawyer who served as a Supreme Court clerk under the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and was part of Shaun Diddy Combmes’s defense team in a sex trafficking trial earlier this year. E-news has reached out to Shapiro as well as Justin’s rep for comment, but hasn’t yet heard back. News of Shapiro’s involvement in the ongoing legal dispute comes eight months after Blake first filed her sexual harassment lawsuit against Justin, alleging he had created a toxic work environment during the making of the 2024 film and that he launched a retaliatory smear campaign against her when she spoke up. Justin went on to deny the accusations in his own counter suit, alleging that the Gossip Girl alum and her husband Ryan Reynolds were actually the ones conspiring to defame him. However, his suit was dismissed by a New York court in June. A trial date for the case between Blake and Justin has been set for March 2026. [Music]
