Kanye West screamed at Chris Jenner during a tense conversation about taking his medication in the rapper’s new In Whose Name documentary. In a short clip from the film’s trailer, the Grammy winner is seen asking her, “So, what do you think? Do you have an effect on my mental health?” Jenner, who had broken down into tears at this point, replied, “Yes, yes, yes. I’m saying yes, and I love you. I love you. I don’t want you to be not perfect. I love you.” West notably married Kim Kardashian, with whom he welcomed four kids before the couple called it quits. During their marriage, West was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but claimed on a podcast earlier this year, that he has autism. Kardashian is also featured in the documentary which is now in theaters.

In a wild scene, the Grammy winner insisted to his then-mother-in-law that he would “rather be dead” than medicated.

“Y’all demasculated me and made me feel like a piece of s–t,” he said. “And the only reason you got away with it is because I was medicated.”
