Kim Kardashian Warned Kanye West About “Burning Bridges” in New Doc | E! News

Fans are getting an inside look into one of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s private disagreements in his new documentary in Whose Name, which hits theaters September 19th. The rapper who now goes by Yay gets into a heated exchange with the reality star following his controversial 2018 visit to the White House. In a scene from the film, Kim is reportedly heard saying to Yay during a phone call, “I can’t sleep. I’ve been crying all day. It’s just this bad dream that’s not ending. You’re losing. Everyone around you is like, “There’s a way to talk about what you feel, but when you’re this dramatic,” to which the easy founder responds, “I don’t care about the music business. I don’t care about the work field. I’m in a slave business.” However, Kim promptly pushes back, saying, “Just because you have a job and you work hard doesn’t mean you’re a slave. That’s demeaning because I work hard with brands that are similar to all of that. Adding, that’s not how I look at it. So, I think you’re offending a lot of people, including yourself, because they’ve provided a life for me that I never would have been able to provide, and I’m very grateful for that. And I’m not about burning bridges with companies. The Skiims mogul who finalized her divorce from Yay in 2022 ends the tense call with a warning to her then husband saying, “You’re going to wake up one day and you’re going to have like nothing.” To which Yay screams back, “No, never tell me that I’m going to wake up one day and have nothing. Never put that into the universe.” E-News has reached out to Kim’s rep for comment, but hasn’t yet heard back. [Music]
