Justin Baldoni Hires Diddy’s Lawyer To Battle Blake Lively After Taylor Swift Drama!?

Justin Baldon has hired new lawyers and their background may surprise you. Also, new details about Taylor Swift we need to discuss. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Welcome to Popcorn Planet. I am Andy Signor and yes, this just in two new notices of appearance. These are coming in as Justin has hired two new attorneys. Wayfair has brought in to their team Alexander Shapiro and Jonathan Bach. Now, uh at time of filing, no lawyers have withdrawn their services. This doesn’t mean they’re replacing. It means they’re adding as of now. Uh so, take that as you will. Uh and we’ve always sort of talked about the fact that no disrespect to Freriedman or the team, but I’ve talked to many lawyers who’ve said Freriedman’s not always a trial attorney. He’s a guy you get to try to settle things. And as this case is gearing up, I think many expected other attorneys to come in to potentially help them with trial or in this case maybe even the appeal. Uh as we look into who these attorneys uh are, I can break down a little bit more information and some of their background. Uh Alexander on her website is described as one of the nation’s leading appellet lawyers. Noted for successful results in high-profile white collar matters, she has won appellet reversals in many criminal and civil cases. These victories included two Supreme Court decisions narrowing the scope of the federal fraud statutes, Criminelli uh uh sorry, Simonelli versus United States and Paroco versus United States, as well as multiple second court rulings granting judgments of a quiddle and new trials. Alexandra argued Salman versus US, the first insider trading case heard by the Supreme Court in 20 years. She’s also an experienced trial lawyer and began her career 30 years ago as one of uh Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburgg’s first clerks on the Supreme Court. Her practice focuses on appeals, white collar defense, and complex civil litigation. She has successfully represented prominent Wall Street professionals, celebrities, corporate CEOs, public officials, and major public and private companies. She recently made headlines, as many of you may recall, uh as uh one of uh Shawn Diddy Combmes’s defense lawyers. Uh now, some are going to try to paint this as Justin hires a Diddy lawyer, but Diddy did pretty well in that case. So, judge the lawyer all you want. The lawyer did a good job, and just because she repped a different client that some aren’t going to like doesn’t mean that means that’s Justin. It means she was a good lawyer. We were kind of shocked how all that went about. And uh yeah, she was on the team that helped uh to uh get Diddy less uh less charges. Um so uh as we go in this more her partner at the firm uh sorry wait Jonathan is also representing but I want to speak about someone else at the firm William I. Taylor. Now we eagle-eyed people on Reddit etc. Notice this. Look who he clerked for. Let’s let’s make that a little bigger. Who has he clerked for? Judge Lyman. H interesting. I wonder if William might have some insight on a particular judge lineman. That always helps if you have a little history or backstory or ways to know how to sort of, you know, help push things one way or another. Not to say that judges are, you know, can happen, but come on, they clearly it helps if you know the guy. So, his uh previous experience working with Lyman obviously a whole huge major win for that law firm as well. Now, uh, a lot of theories and stuff coming in here because of her criminal background as an attorney. Many people are wondering, could this actually lift back up the whole Van Zam Van Sham expose from months ago? Uh, some are saying, well, no, not really. As this comment sort of says really well, even though Ryan hire hired criminal defense lawyers for Vanzam, uh, uh, these are these are harder. Uh, there I thought I had a comment, but it didn’t. The comment I was looking for is they’re more appealant to people and and and civilians can’t do these crimes. Now, they can point them out. They can point out criminal activity and she could in fact, but that’s something obviously the feds or somebody else would have to come after Ryan and Blake for if they so chose. Uh but good to have someone there who’s going to be able to pay more attention to it pointed out. And I I that’s definitely some heat applied to uh Ryan and Blake just like the ACLU helping Perez, which is an amazing update. Huge shout out to them. If you missed this morning’s interview with Perez that I had them on, uh that’s a huge turning event. Can you imagine if Ryan and Blake tried to go against the ACLU, how much they would have not looked like victims? Uh that was uh that that was a bravo move uh on Perez’s well and that attorney who helped him uh to help and that and getting more of these attorneys are going to expose and lift up the heat on Blake and Ryan playing victim. So I’m very excited about this. She’s won a lot of other appellet cases. So this could also be about the previous things and them filing appeals on it. So fingers crossed there’s a lot more moves coming because look, I’ll be honest, I have not been super happy at some of the the moves of late. It doesn’t mean they’re losing, but it does mean, you know, what what’s happening? This whole Taylor Swift of it, as I brought up the Perez, and he brought up some good points. I just feel like Wayfair team did not do this very well. It’s a lot of big talk and then they don’t seem to be delivering. And I I hope that’s all part of the game and I’m just not seeing 10 steps ahead like them. I Please prove me wrong. By all means, please prove me wrong, but I just feel like uh some of these moves that came in were pretty shocking. Taylor Swift. Now, Taylor Swift isn’t being told that she doesn’t have to be deposed. She was just requesting a specific date as this was uh her her attorneys, Taylor Swift’s attorney, saying, “Listen, no one asked us to be deposed. Only learned about this a few days ago, but if she’s forced uh she’s available, she could accommodate the week of October 20th.” Now, typically, you don’t get to just pick the date. If you’re deposed, you’re supposed to come. You have to make it work. That’s welcome to court. Um it’s kind of an annoying thing, but you got to give them more notice. Um, and so the question is, well, you can’t extend it. You can’t extend it. And that doesn’t mean Taylor can’t still be deposed. As Perez said, he’s right. They could agree to some terms, but I don’t think Taylor’s going to be of the agreeing terms. Her lawyers are pretty damn good. But all of this was just frustrating to read, if true, mind you, if this is all accurate, that they didn’t really ask him until a few days ago what happened to all the other, you know, they dropped it. We got what we wanted, and now they’re doing this. Now, there are reports coming in uh that, you know, they’ll still they still got evidence from her that she still could give evidence. In fact, they could demand a deposition even though it’s not on the dates she’s available. Um but uh I wonder I think her lawyers are going to be pretty good at sticking to it. Like, we gave you dates. It’s not our fault you waited so long. Uh and I think that’s ultimately going to give her a pass to be able to skip it. And I think she’s going to do whatever she can to skip it. Uh, which is frustrating because I do wonder if she has intel, especially if Blake told her to leave her texts, that’s pretty that’s pretty intense. And if she’s not if she’s withholding that, I hope she gave Justin something on the side to help him win this because that would make me very disappointed in her if she’s holding out on information that could really help. Uh, but anyway, a long story short, it’s not over. A lot of the reports out there out there are inaccurate saying that she doesn’t have to pose. It’s still on deck. He still has time. He just has to do it now, I guess, before that, you know, in October rather than the week of October 20th, which he I guess it’s the end of September. They’re going to have to give her new dates and then we’re going to see if she says no, if she’s going to get away with saying no, if Justin’s going to really keep pushing, or will this allow them to get more of what they thought thought they already had. Uh we shall see. Uh confusing nonetheless, but uh we shall see what happens here. And then one other just uh lawyer update. Interestingly enough, Marine Comey, another diddy lawyer, is now suing the Trump admin administration saying, “I want my job back.” And she’s putting together a pretty damn good case saying like, “You don’t get to do that.” And all of my uh uh bosses, even ones appointed by you, uh said I was doing a good job. So, what’s what’s the reason? Is it just cuz you ate my dad? That’s not a good look. That’s not a good look. So, she’s now suing. That’s going to be an interesting case to follow. What’s going to happen there? Harrison is going to definitely get it’s definitely got political and I really don’t like when the the courts have gotten political on either side to be fair. Uh but interesting update from her as well. So, lots more coming in of this legal news. What do you think?
