Jimmy Kimmel and Disney executives will meet again early next week to discuss his future. Disney wants Kimmel back on the air, but executives have asked him to tone down his political rhetoric. Disney has been talking to Nexstar and Sinclair about carrying the show if it comes back.

This is an attack on free speech nothing he said in the segment that was posted was bad, Trump and his ilk’s fee fees were hurt by the truth and they want to silence all dissenting opinions and they want to create state run propaganda on tv that parrots their idiocy.

If I was him, I wouldn’t come back without complete creative control and a non-termination rider on my contract and an employment guarantee for staff.

Also, how is it that there is no issue with Trump going on Fox News and, when asked about Charlie Kirk being a proponent of freedom of speech, saying, “I bet he wouldn’t be saying that now,” and that’s fine… but Jimmy Kimmel pointing out that Republicans are capitalizing on a tragedy and using it to finger point, in addition to Trump not appearing overly upset (which his pretty insensitive comments in addition decision to play golf instead of attending his vigil or whatever it was) is somehow too far?

Remember to write to Disney Home Entertainment in Burbank, CA or (their headquarters) at 7 Hudson Sq in New York that you do not support censorship! Canceling Hulu and Disney+ isn’t enough, they need physical mail stating that since they’ll delete emails or online surveys.
I like Jimmy’s show, but unironically i want him to refuse to come back if they don’t let him criticize Trump freely. I want him to never shut up about what happened.
As a performer and comedian, how could he go back knowing he doesn’t have freedom of expression?

“Tone down his rhetoric” is the same thing as censorship. I hope he doesn’t agree to that.
I think Jimmy should only agree to come back if he has no new oversight and he’s not required to “tone down” anything. He should also start a new skit where he takes Trump’s own words insulting Democrats and flips it using the same words to insult Republicans. Give them a taste of their own medicine.

On one hand, it would be better for everyone if he said no. But on the other hand, he employs a lot of people for the show and if it goes off the air then a lot of people will lose their jobs.
Maybe he can say no, but get them to promise to employ his people? That way they can still have jobs and he doesn’t have to tone down his speech.

Say fuck it and approach HBO for the whole show team as a package. My understanding is that they called it an indefinite pause so his contract wasn’t voided.
Give them an ultimatum put me on air as is or I’m voiding the contract, if you want to take me to court I’ll gladly go so you can tell the world exactly and truthfully why we were taken off the air.
