It is either exploitative and should never been commissioned or it isn’t and hence can be released?
Seems bad for our society that you can’t make racist terrorists the villains
When I saw the trailer, I immediately thought of Jade Parker. She was a woman who started off following ISIS on the internet as a defense contractor before turning to right-wing extremism in the US. I believe she was the first (or one of the first) to use the term accelerationist.
I followed her on Twitter and about a year or so after Jan 6 she had said that she believes she knows who planted the bomb in front of DNC headquarters that morning. Her twitter has since been deleted. I think she’s okay because she’s also accused other PhD-level researchers of stealing her work and shutting her out, and had talked about suing them.
Interesting, I hadn’t even heard of this show. I imagine if they end up releasing it in a couple weeks this could actually increase awareness of it.
Apple knows they fucked up making a show like this. Shouldn’t be trying to make art if you want to be apolitical.
