He has this deep deep hatred for Khan ever since he learned of his existence. He is a shameless racist hurt that a brown Muslim man doesn’t even pretend to tolerate him.
Sadiq is a class act, I’ll never forget when some far right “activists” wheeled a fucking guillotine into an event he appeared at to intimidate him and he deliberately ignored them and continued flipping through his newspaper.

Sadiq gets politics that Trump doesn’t. When Trump calls other world leaders like Starmer his “friends” he’s like that weird kid nobody wants to be around in school but they will deal with you for group projects. Trump sees any interactions like that as a best friend because he has nobody else in his life who likes him.
I work in factual programming (specifically factual entertainment and tv documentaries) so I met him a few times through the years. He’s consistently attentive, respectful and cordial, even when he’s clearly exhausted or frustrated.
He receives death threats and abuse through email and social media every day. It spikes when he’s in headlines. His staff were trained to forward emails and letters consisting death threats to the police.

This might be the ungodly amount nettle tea talking, but does Sadiq Khan remind you of Thomas Brodie Sangster in this clip? I know, I know one has South Asian roots and the other looks like one of Charles Dickens orphans, but it’s a bit like Robert Ri’chard and Neal McDonough strange resemblance, but with the former two it’s more about the way they talk and how they frown.
