Like most rich celebrities of his age he is still a liberal Zionist afaik (we’ve seen a huge wave of liberal Zionists conceding that a genocide is happening and then acting as if they were always against it). They still support Zionism and Israel as a Zionist state – apartheid, occupation, Jewish supremacy and the colonialism which are inherent to Zionism. He has spoken out against Netanyahu’s violence, but Israel’s violence did not begin after Oct 7th. Nevertheless his words were still powerful and hopefully moved some people.

This is corny bc it was only over Zoom, but during Covid I watched a reading of the Princess Bride done as a fundraiser for the WisDems. I figured it might be kind of fun, but I ended up crying bc of how incredible Mandy and Wallace Shawn are. If you closed your eyes, it was like being in the movie listening to them, not just listening over a Zoom. They’re so incredibly talented
