Former FBI Director James Comey indicted and charged with making false statements to Congress. The indictment of a former FBI director is unprecedented.

    1. It’s because the president is a petty bitch who cannot allow his “foes”, aka real Americans, to live after humiliating him.

Can anyone explain what the fuck is going on? I’m lost but not sure I want to be found if it involves more horrifying information. But I also feel guilty at not wanting to be informed because you can’t just ignore fascism due to having a headache. And yet for all the terror he inflicts the thing that most bothers me is how Trump has never seen a photo of his glowing white ear against his burnt orange face and thought… I need to rethink my make up routine.

    3. Where are those law firms that stood up to the felon? It’s time for them to do so patriotic work for theirountry.

    4. I feel like ‘unprecendented’ kind of means nothing now.

I don’t remember the author but I remember someone saying in the Boris Johnson era that this is what happens when the ettiquette of ‘that’s not how it’s done’ is met with ‘I’m going to do it anyway’.

If there aren’t actually things stopping these people doing it, they will do it.

    5. Realistically, this means nothing and makes Trump happy temporarily. And it gets thrown out because it’s a nothing burger.

    6. People mocked Rosie O’Donnell when she fled the country. But this is exactly why she did. He’s hellbent on exacting revenge on anyone that slighted him even decades ago.

Deflect deflect deflect. Anything to prevent the Epstein files to be released showing proof DJ is a pedo.

    8. The people involved in bringing this case will lose their jobs and may end in jail like many other Trump cronies if there will ever be a Democratic president again.

But I have to admit that I don’t feel bad for Comey, since he is the one who plagued the world with Trump because of his hate for the Clintons.

    9. Trump fires his attorney general (Siebert) because he would not indict him. His new attorney general (Halligan) has zero prosecution experience. Trump publicly ordered his DOJ to prosecute Comey.

    10. The irony. Announcing that a presidential candidate was under federal investigation was also “unprecedented”. But Comey announced that Hillary was under investigation. Less than 2 weeks before the election. Now that was “unprecedented”!

Never mentioned to the public that Trump was under investigation at that time too. You’d think that Trump would have a soft spot for the guy who helped get him elected.

James Comey’s decision to disclose the nothingburger that was Hillary Clinton’s emails in the waning days of the 2016 election may very well be looked back upon as the tipping point of American democracy. I wonder if he regrets it.
