As a Muslim, it’s incredibly frustrating to see just how ingrained Islamophobia is in our politics. Zohran, Ilhan, Rashida, Omar Fateh, etc… have all gotten death threats due to their beliefs and the Dems have said nothing to protect them. Instead, they’re told to bend over backwards to tow the party line and be “Good Muslims” who don’t speak out about injustices.
I hear them talk about growing concerns of antisemitism, and I agree that Jewish people shouldn’t be attacked for their beliefs. But where is the same outcry for Muslims who have seen increased attacks on them? Zohran is still being asked about Jewish lives when he’s getting death threats like this over and over and over again. Make it make sense to me.
I wish I could vote for him.
So many older NYers I know are certain this man is antisemitic and that their only choice is Cuomo, it’s crazy.
Does he support sharia law in nyc? Many would prefer that.
