Why is it that when someone more successful than you takes a stand, you act like a petulant child?

She is right , 2 years into the genocide and all these big celebrities are just speaking up now that it’s safe to do so. I am sorry not buying it, they are doing it now coz it gives them good pr now

Gentrification is actually a great term for it.

Im Lebanese can’t speak for Palestinians but I’ll take what I can get. Especially someone at her level. Its deeper than activism people getting slaughtered.

Lol, I get where you’re coming from, but tbh, JLaw isn’t any worse than most celebs out there. At least she’s real and doesn’t try to hide her awkwardness. Does she overshare? Hell yeah, but that’s half the charm. We gotta cut her some slack dude

It be nice if at some point one of these celebs says something like “yeah I got brainwashed/didn’t fully understand/didn’t look into it/have all the info and I was wrong I’m so sorry I didn’t speak up sooner”

Sure she could’ve spoken up earlier, but keep in mind that many of her peers continue to spout Zionist propaganda. Whether or not this is a result of gentrification or an actual moral shift on her part, the outcome is largely the same.

She’s right. It’s like all the people crying for a Disney boycott, whereas if you were following BDS you should’ve been boycotting Disney already. But certain people didn’t want to give up their treats. It’s only when things disturb their peace that they “care.” The action of saying something about the genocide THIS much later says more than the platitudes. And I’m not talking about just JLaw, this is about everyone who’s kept their heads in the sand until now.

I think she’s right but I do think the left could spend a little less time attacking people for not being the perfect advocate

The left always eats itself.
