Why Prince William Declared 2024 As His “Hardest Year” Yet | E! News

I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. Prince William is reflecting on the challenges his family faced in 2024. The Prince of Wales shares insight into the challenges that the royal family faced during that year, which included both his wife, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles III, being diagnosed with cancer. Prince William says this to Eugene Levy in a preview clip for an upcoming episode of the third season of his Apple TV Plus show, The Reluctant Traveler. I’d say 2024 was the hardest year I’ve ever had. You know, life is sent to test us as well, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are. The 43-year-old who shares Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louie with Kate, also alludes to the exhaustion that came with raising three young children and carrying out his royal duties, all while being there for his wife and father as they battled cancer. What do you do when you’re home? Sleep. Really? When you got three small children, sleep was an important part of my life. And although Kate announces that she’s cancer-free back in January, life in recovery has not been easy for the Princess of Wales and her family. She explains during a royal engagement in July. You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, I can crack on, get back to normal. But actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.
