Normani – Motivation: A great homage to early 2000s hip-hop/R&B, with amazing choreography. Just infectious.

“Not if you were the Last Junkie on Earth” by the Dandy Warhols.
It didn’t exactly age well. The satire allowed my teenaged brain to comprehend how some of my favourite artists turned to Heroin. Also had some great choreography.

Feist’s video for “1,2,3,4.” Every single time that Apple commercial came on I was sat.

Oh Baby – LCD Soundsystem
It feels like a gorgeous, Oscar-worthy film in the space of five minutes. It actually made me shed a tear when I first watched it.
Jay-Z – Big Pimpin’ – as a boy I was shell shocked at all the badonkadonk overload. This little boy’s eyes had been opened LOL
Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Other Side – such a haunting song and a really off music video. Legit depressing and just sad melancholy
Inducing. I remember changing the channel as a kid when it came on the radio (or mtv when the video came on in the summer) it’s the first time I remember ever actively avoiding a song and not liking it because it’s just haunting and depressing.

Rhythm Nation. Was before my time, but it’s one I’ll constantly revisit because the choreography is so precise and it just tickles my brain in a certain way because it’s just so precise.
I honestly think it’s the greatest choreographed music video of all time.

(If you need a cathartic, ugly, hard cry, over the state of the world rn, I can’t recommend it enough) damn.
Mariah Carey- Honey. It was her first post-Tommy , “grown-up” video and it was unreal to see her so sexy, happy, confident, and funny.
Madonna – Material Girl

Pearl Jam – Do the evolution. Amazing artwork and still so relevant today if you watch the imagery.. released in 1998
