Actor Richard Gere on Donald Trump: “We have a president who’s not only crazy, he’s a dark, dark presence. And it’s happened so quickly. Six months, he’s almost destroyed our country”

He’s right and I’m glad he said it. I can’t believe how quickly our country has descended into fascism, what breaks my heart is we saw it coming and people still refused to listen. They clearly stated everything they intended to do in Project 2025 and people still called us alarmists and chose to vote against their own interests.

Almost? He has (not just him but everyone who backed him, his supporters/MAGA, republicans in general and the makers/backers of Project 2025).

As an outsider, your countries reputation is gone. Even if a Democratic President is elected next the world has already moved on. Republicans have shown that your country, while under the control of a Republican President cannot be trusted. Not to mention, your states seem like they barely get along with one another. So much for being called “United”.

Your constitution literally means nothing now. 250 years of progress (albeit slow progress) is gone. The damage done will take lifetimes to fix and I doubt any of us will be around to see it.

My heart truely goes out to the Americans who voted against this. I cannot imagine what it’s like living there right now. You have my deepest, deepest empathy.

We are rapidly approaching the time where we are going to need to go on a general strike.
