    1. God, if someone put me in the Criterion Closet I think I would just spontaneously combust. Every time I see one of these videos I barely know any of the movies picked πŸ’€

I’m grossly uncultured with regards to films. I do enjoy watching the Criterion closet picks despite never having heard of any of the titles or with any intention to see them in the future.Β

I only watch to see if someone like me is choosing Megamind out of the blue. And sometimes to stare at Cillian Murphy.Β

Funny when he said he was living in Los Angeles and wasn’t happy with the way his career was going…. nevertheless I recommend watching the romantic comedy he made with Lucy Lui in the early 2000s! Just to see him as such a different character.

    6. I was really sad when Γ‰milie Dequenne died far too young this year so I was happy he picked Rosetta and paid tribute to her performance, which was a real lightning bolt for me when I was getting into foreign film around high school/college.

I wanted to watch Rosetta, but only made it through the first half hour or so because I can’t handle shaky cam 🀒
