Score aside, I can’t for the life of me make sense of that opening paragraph.

I hope Condé Nast put Anna Grace in a safe house before they hit publish on this.

Album should have been an EP. The first 4 songs are fine. The rest is horrible.

I think Taylor Swift is the ABBA of our time… Many massive hits, people thought it was corny at the time, but now people love it. There are at least three songs on this album that are going to be played on the radio for forever.

“Spiritual energy of bachelorette party penis decor” is an amazing flair opportunity 🤣

as a neutral Taylor enjoyer – this album felt like it was for visuals and not the music. The production (excluding the AI) and the aesthetic is great and I’m glad she is exploring fashion and different aesthetics but the songs felt like previous album left overs just thrown in bc she wanted to do this concept NOW and didn’t have time or the care to think out each song. She knows it will sell no matter what so she lets herself lack in quality just bc she can.

Really nice review. The author’s voice really shines and there were some solid insights. I love reading reviews. 🙂
> But it is simply untrue to claim, as Rolling Stone did on Friday, that Showgirl represents “new, exciting sonic turns.”
GET HER ANNA. That Rolling Stone review was just biased fan service.

Pitchfork gave The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails, which is basically a perfect album, a lowly 2 so I’m not the biggest devotee of their ratings…but this reads well and seems pretty bang on

I’m beginning to really appreciate this sub. Not a fan/foe of the lady, but watched the doc last year and followed her career. I’ve always been interested in pop culture and she’s the queen bee today. Boring Barbie. Lol
