Olivia Rodrigo earns her third No. 1 on the U.K.’s Official Physical Singles chart with her duet version of “Friday I’m in Love,” recorded with The Cure’s Robert Smith. The cover benefits Doctors Without Borders.
Different song but I have had the Just Like Heaven duet with Robert Smith on loop FOR DAYS. Sooo obsessed (pun very much intended)

She’s so punk rock and goth and pop. Love her and Robert Smith.

She’s honestly incredible, not just as a musician, but as a person too.
She’s still so young, but has a fantastic head on her shoulders and uses her platform to benefit some really important causes.
More artists need to be like her.

Notice how you can be a pop star AND still use your wealth and influence for good? Stark contrast from the pop stars who built their platform and audience on activism and suddenly abandoned it once they got more famous.
(Edit: I’m not saying all pop stars HAVE to do this. I’m saying CERTAIN pop stars used to position themselves as activists and suddenly abandoned it when it no longer benefitted them, and that’s what I have a problem with.)

Yet another reason for me to love her
