    Cassie Ventura’s Lawyers React to Diddy’s Sentencing | E! News

    Cassie Ventura is moving forward after Shawn Diddy Combmes was sentenced to 50 months in prison for two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution on October 3rd. His ex reacts to US District Judge Aaron Subbermanian’s decision in a statement from her lawyers. The attorneys tell EN while nothing can undo the trauma caused by Combmes, the sentence imposed today recognizes the impact of the serious offenses he committed. They add, “We are confident that with the support of her family and friends, Miss Ventura will continue healing, knowing that her bravery and fortitude have been an inspiration to so many.” Ventura was in a relationship with Combmes on and off from 2007 to 2018. In addition to his over four years in prison, Combmes was handed 5 years of supervised release and a fine of $500,000. Ahead of his sentencing, Combmes, who was acquitted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges during his federal trial, expressed remorse for quote, “all of the hurt and pain he caused others through his conduct.” In a letter to the judge, he wrote in the filing obtained by NBC News October 2nd, “I lost my way. I got lost in my journey, lost in the drugs and the excess. My downfall was rooted in my selfishness. I have been humbled and broken to my core.” Combmes also spoke in court ahead of his sentencing, telling Judge Submanian per NBC News, “I want to apologize to my seven children before turning to his mom, Janice Comb, saying, “My mother, you taught me better. You raised me better.” He added, “I will never jeopardize my family. No matter what anybody says, I know now I am truly sorry for it all. [Music]

      I don't think he was sincere at all in his address to the court, it was just a coercion tactic. And, l feel he should have received the max sentence. In the end though, he pretty much destroyed himself through his narcissistic abusive treatment of others. Someone who is as abusive as he is, does NOT CHANGE in the short length of time he has been locked up. !

      He deserves even more time. I was disgusted to see he incorporated home video clips of his two young girls , each no older than 4-5 yo, into his pathetic "Look at what a great guy I am, judge" video. Nothing says scum like showcasing, using, his baby girls in pathetic attempt to leverage sympathy for degrading, nevermind viscuously attacking and beating, women.

      The sentence that ugly monster got is why people don't come forward. The judge should be ashamed of herself. That's okay everything that came out in court will hopefully curtail his actions in the future. Keep stepping forward people until he spends the rest of his life in jail

      Is this true? We know Diddy lies and he is a liar, just like his father Satan the devil, the father of all lies. We know he will continue his reckless and wicked life. Mother/children they all in it for the money, that is so sad, but there is a God and I hope “THEY ALL REPENT” one day. They don’t have to go to CHURCH, THEY NEED TO READ THE BIBLE, FOLLOW JESUS’ TEACHINGS AND LIVE IT! Do not follow “some” of these preachers, let the Spirit of God guides you. Some are just like Diddy living a wicked and double life. Verses that talks about REPENTANCE: Matthew 4:17, Acts 3:19, Luke 13:5, Proverbs 28:13, Luke 24:47, Acts 26:20, 2 Peter 3:9 and more 🙏💕

      I have no respect for a woman that makes it out of it, and get paid!!!! Just admit that your habit is what has you where you are now!!!! It was just as much your fault as Daddy's!       He’s saying what he has to for the Judge, to get “Time Served” sentence. If he got out now, he’d go right back to it all. He needs to do the time, and continue being supervised.
