(links below) In this interview she talks about her eclectic choices, describes herself as a 'character actor' and how being fitted for a dress makes her "feel pretty, and I don't always feel pretty."

Her acid green silk Galliano for Dior dress at the 1997 Oscars is credited with the (renewal) of actors as "ambassadors for haute couture." Additional story attached.

She’s 49, thriving, and still making the 20 somethings sweat. Aging like fine wine that also solves crimes in a trench coat. Icon behavior.

  2. Life teaches us over and over about its impermance. If you’ve held anything good, for long, you’ve done well. I’ve never been a huge fan of her films, but she’s developed a robust acting career and remains relevant far longer than a lot of other ‘pretty faces’ in Hollywood. I hope she finds love again.

I find that comment so relatable and so challenging when you’re living with it. I really feel for her right now. Also I cannot imagine being Nicole Kidman and not always feeling pretty, do the Dementors ever leave us alone?

  4. I adore Nicole for showing Hollywood that there is a career for women in their 50s when for the longest actresses were told that once they were past their thirties, roles would dry up.

I do feel sorry for her, because she lost her last living parent and now she has to go through divorce, too. He never deserved her.

Interesting that she describes herself as a character actor! She’s brilliant in everything, including her leading roles.

Only an insecure asshole would cheat on Nicole Kidman, especially with that corny as hell, average looking guitar player. Kidman gets all the attention in the world and she knows what it is and isn’t. She doesn’t need to cheat. She’s a goddess.

Has a real ‘tale of genji’ vibe to that quote. Almost expect her to follow it up with some euphemism about cherry blossoms or damp kimono sleeves.
