Jennifer Aniston Slams Claim Being “Selfish” Kept Her From Having Kids | E! News
Jennifer Aniston is standing up for herself. The Friends alum set the record straight about public narratives suggesting that she decided not to have children due to her focus on her career, especially following her 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt. Telling Harper’s Bizarre UK in an interview published October 8th, quote, “They didn’t know my story or what I’d been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family because I don’t go out there and tell them my medical woes. That’s not anybody’s business.” She continues, quote, “But there comes a point when you can’t not hear it. The narrative about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family because I’m selfish, a workaholic. It does affect me. I’m just a human being. We’re all human beings.” The 56-year-old, who underwent years of IVF, ultimately decided to write a 2016 Huff Post op-ed, slamming the insensitive treatment of women by the media. She recalls of the essay, quote, “I knew a lot of women at the time who were trying to have kids who were dealing with IVFs. So, it did feel like it was not only for myself, but for any women who were struggling with the same issue. With the media landscape shifting, Jennifer, who soft launched her romance with hypnotherapist Jim Curtis last month, did acknowledge that the days of the circle of shame have continued to diminish.

If she wanted kids she would have them. Wanting to have children in a stable relationship doesn’t seem selfish.

Let's not forget she was also a smoker. That in itself isn't good to be pregnant. If she wants to have baby she could always adopt. Plenty of money to do that. She is right tho no one knows her medical issues. It's no one business
If a woman wants to devote herself to a career thats her decision and right. Where she finds great happiness now thru superficial and tangible items now means she might be sad and lonely at the end. Smile now cry later

If she really wanted children she would have had them. And yes it is a form of self-absorption to not have children if you are able to.
