Rebecca Ferguson Gives Update After Onset Clash With Movie Star
Rebecca Ferguson is giving an update on that quote idiot co-star. More than a year after first detailing her experience with an unnamed actor who she said screamed at her on set, Rebecca reveals she has spoken to actors who attest to their bad behavior. As she tells the Times in an interview published October 9th, other people who have worked with this person also had a time. And though former co-stars like Dwayne the Rock Johnson applauded her for speaking out, the Doom star admits that the actor she clashed with hasn’t gotten in touch with her and she doesn’t care if they know she was talking about them, explaining, “I will shove someone under a bus in front of an entire crew to make a point. I don’t applaud my own behavior in that it’s a really tricky world.” Last year, Rebecca, who has clarified she is not referring to Tom Cruz, Ryan Reynolds, or Hugh Jackman, detailed her difficult experience on set, revealing how it led to her learning to stand up for herself. As she said during an episode of the Rain with Josh Smith podcast, I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star. Doesn’t matter who it is. I’m going to try not give this away. this human being was being so insecure and angry because this person couldn’t get the scenes out. And I think I was so vulnerable and comfortable that I got screamed at. But because this person was number one on a call sheet, there was no safety net for me. So no one had my back and I would cry walking off set. This person would literally look at me in front of the whole crew and say, “You call yourself an actor. This is what I have to work with. What is this?” And I stood there just breaking. This happens. And I remember the next day I walked on and I said, “You get off my set. This is the first time I’ve ever spoken. I remember being so scared and I looked at this person and I said, “You can f off. I’m going to work towards a tennis ball. I never want to see you again.” And then I remember the producers came up and said, “You can’t do this to number one. We have to let this person be on set.” And I said, “But the person can turn around and I can act to the backhead.” Wow. And I did. [Music]
Rebecca Ferguson revealed that other actor agree that the unnamed “idiot” costar that screamed at her on set, was not great to work with.
