How Katy Perry Is Proving There’s No More Bad Blood With Taylor Swift | E! News

Katy Perry supports Taylor Swift amid her Life of a Showgirl album release. In a show of solidarity, the celebr Swift’s song from the record Eldest Daughter to her Instagram story October 10th. As fans know, Katie and Taylor had some bad blood back in the day, which reportedly occurred after a disagreement over backup dancers. But the two officially mended their relationship in 2018 when Katie sent Taylor a literal olive branch at the start of her reputation tour. The following year, Katie appeared in Taylor’s video for her track, You Need to Calm Down. And the fellow superstar even made a point to catch Taylor’s era tour back in February 2024. Katie was performing in Australia at the same time the ERAs tour rolled into town. Katie said in a Tik Tok posted by Capital UK back in January, “I had one day off before the show and I was like, “Hey girl, I’m going to come to this show.” And she was so excited and I was so excited. Katie added of the Swifties, I loved it. It’s just like a community. It’s an adorable, sweet community and I got to see her and we got to catch up. I love her so much. Katie had previously shared a look at her Aerys tour experience on Instagram, posting a selfie alongside Taylor and writing, “Got to see an old friend shine tonight.” But don’t expect to see Taylor boldly go into space like Katie did back in April. During the press tour for her new album, she was asked by Scott Mills on BBC Radio 2 if she’d take a trip among the stars. And Taylor replied, “Why would I do that? There’s no reason to do that. It’s cold. It’s scary. I don’t know if I can come back down. If I go, no one will believe I went. I have no fascination. So, basically, you will never ever see Taylor Swift in space, like ever.
