Diane Keaton Dead at 79: Bette Midler, Kimberly Williams Paisley and More React

Hollywood is mourning the loss of a legend. Diane Kiin, who starred in iconic movies such as The Godfather, Annie Hall, and Baby Boom, has died October 11th at the age of 79, her rep confirms to People. Following the news of her passing, Dian’s friends and former co-stars are paying tribute to the late actress. B. Midler, who starred alongside the Oscar winner in the 1996 cult classic The First Wives Club, writes on Instagram, “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keen has died. I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was.” Diane’s on-screen daughter from Father of the Bride, Kimberly Williams Paisley mourns her passing as well, saying, “Diane, working with you will always be one of the highlights of my life. You are one of a kind, and it was thrilling to be in your orbit for a time. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your talent, and above all, your laughter.” Actor Josh Gad pays tribute to the big screen icon in a lengthy IG post writing, “What a monumental loss. Diane Keen in many ways define my love of movies. I was very fortunate to work with her many years ago on an unproduced HBO pilot and what I found was one of the most humble, ruthlessly funny, and unbelievably talented human beings I’ve ever come across. My heart goes out to Diane’s entire family during this impossible moment. [Music]

    1. For me she was one of those actresses that I couldn't always remember what she was in but I always remembered that I just liked her vibe as a person. She seemed like a genuinely nice and good woman.

    2. Diane Keaton seemed invincible. She was always so energetic, spunky, witty, smiling… she always seemed young to me. She was definitely one of a kind and such a beautiful woman. This is shocking. She will be missed. πŸ•―οΈπŸ˜’πŸ’œ

    4. Oh man she was one of my favorites…and she never claimed to be a believer in Jesus…so that will mean she's not in Heaven..though God only knows ugh. 😒

Life is so short..PLEASE give your life to Jesus now…
He's the ONLY way to Heaven.
Once you die it's too late..

I love you too much to not share my heart.
