Goldie Hawn, Steve Martin & More Pay Tribute To Diane Keaton
Hollywood is mourning the loss of a true legend. Following the heartbreaking news that Diane Kon passed away at the age of 79, her former co-stars and celebrity friends took to social media to share touching tributes. Goldie Han, who starred in the First Wives Club with Katon, wrote in part, “We agreed to grow old together and one day maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together. Who knows, maybe in the next life, shine your fairy dust up there, girlfriend. I’m going to miss the hell out of you. Mandy Moore, who starred alongside Katon in the 2007 film Because I said so, wrote, quote, “They say don’t meet your heroes, but I got to work with one of mine and even call her mom for a few months. An honor of a lifetime.” While Steve Martin, who played Katon’s husband and father of the bride, re-shared a joke from her 2021 interview with Interview magazine. The quip first began with Martin Short asking her, “Who’s sexier, me or Steve Martin?” Which Katon replied, “I mean, you’re both idiots.” Quote, “Don’t know who first posted this, but it sums up our delightful relationship with Diane.” Steve Martin captioned the post. B. Nidler, who starred in First Wives Club with Katon, wrote in part, “The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Katon has died, I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me.” In a video captured by the Hollywood Reporter, Ree Witherspoon was seen getting emotional while paying tribute to the late star at her Shine event following the news. If you just close your mind and think of Diane Katon, I mean, I guarantee you from from Annie Hall to The Godfather to um Something’s Got to Give, she is just incredible. It’s clear Diane Keaton really did leave her mark on Hollywood. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Music]

I LOVED her in Baby Boom. Whenever I catch it on, I watch it. Also I just watched her in The Godfather, the first one.
I'm tearing up like I knew her personally…sigh. What a great actor, she could do comedy and drama and was good at both. Sleep well.
Flirtiest actress, such class, and charm. Rest in peace Diane Keaton 🙏 🎉😔 💔.
