Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham shares a sweet letter from her late on-screen mom Diane Katon. Lauren, who starred alongside Diane in the 2007 film Because I Said So, pays tribute to the late actress in a post on Instagram. She includes a screenshot of a letter Diane sent her in the past, which lovingly reads, “Please don’t be a stranger. Please invite me to one of your dinners. And finally, please hug yourself in the morning. And remember to write your book and don’t let yourself get anxious, you big winner. You Katon signed the note, “Love die.” Lauren, who recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, adds in the caption of her post, “A few lines from a letter Diane Katon wrote me years ago when writing a book was just a dream of mine. Her work as an actor was an inspiration to me. Her encouragement changed my life.” Because I said So also starred actress Mandy Moore, who paid tribute to Katon after her passing on social media as well, alongside a photo of them snuggled on the couch in the movie. They say, “Don’t meet your heroes, but I got to work with one of mine and even call her mom for a few months. An honor of a lifetime.” The Academy Award winner passed away October 11th at the age of 79. [Music]
