it’s because of feminism that they’re able to *choose* to be trad wives instead of being legally or economically forced into that role (why anyone would choose unapid labour is beyond me but whatever), they have real alternatives if they leave, they have rights and protections, etc.

That’s a great takedown. Highlights a real issue as well. Before women’s rights there were loads of women stuck in abusive relationships and unable to leave. Feminism improves society for everyone and would continue to do so if it wasn’t for reactionary right-wing dimwits trying to take us back to the Stone Age.
