I don’t think I would necessarily be interested in a documentary about the tour for brat, but I do think there would be a lot of potential for a doc about the entire brat era from conception to Coachella this year.

She’s right in that I am just not interested in a film devoid of conflict (not so subtly looking at the Eras tour lol), but brat specifically was kind of written with her back against the wall with the same sorta ethos that Final Fantasy had. This was laying it all on the line after a Crash kinda flopped commercially with its intentional-sellout angle and is a reflection on her fame an success and the ever-present carrot on the stick of mainstream attention. Through staying true to herself, she ended up with her most successful album to date with a lot iconic moments along the way.

I feel like she would be a really interesting subject for a doc, but I love that she was honest and didn’t want to make something just to do it.

Most tour documentaries are just stupid cash grab projects. If you are shooting scenes for a doc at least have the decency to wait for some years to release it so that people who were part of it can get some nostalgic dopamine hit when they are in a different stage in their lives.

Whats the point of releasing tour documentary as soon as the tour finishes. You’ve already extracted so much money from your audience. When is it enough?

    5. I’d watch any documentary about brat. There would need to be whole sections devoted to cheddar jalapeño and beer tho. It might run long.

she’s talking about the whole “Victim to Victory” mantra. SIA made a lot of money specifically writing these types of songs for other artists and herself. Good for her, but it’s played out.

    7. From the marketing POV this would be a phenomenal piece of content to watch and learn from. We talk about it at work a lot from the POV and I never imagined we could have seen it.
