“I guess I’m this weirdo,” she said. “I don’t operate under, you know, the idea that every government and their people are the same… You think that the people of Saudi Arabia and the Saudi government all [share the same values]? So you also believe that the Chinese government and the Chinese people are exactly the same? It’s just racism. I think it took me a second, because when people are going like, ‘You’re doing something unethical,’ I’m like, ‘Oh, these must be ethical people, let me listen.’ And then you’re like, ‘Oh no, you’re just racist.’ These are also the same people who would go, ‘Trump is not my president! I am nothing like our president.’ But other countries are?”

she’s performing for the government tho. it would be like performing for an event the trump admin put on for themselves. and most likely slave labor is used to do so.

Lady, people know the difference between government and citizens. But being invited to perform and with terms and conditions for what you can and cannot say is why people aren’t happy with you. A journalist was literally murdered and dismembered by the prince’s team at the behest of the government. So to go make jokes and limit the type of jokes and be paid up to $400k while someone was slaughtered as a member of the press means you are ok with this fact. Own that. Don’t gaslight us and pretend it’s about something else.

    3. “The people aren’t the same as the government” only makes sense as an argument when *the fucking event you were at wasn’t funded by the fucking government*

    4. oh please can she just own the fact she wanted the money its a far less pathetic look than whatever this incoherent ramble is

So she’s following Bill Burr’s strategy of purposely obtuse to what people are actually, validly, criticizing them for.

    6. one thing diff about Whitney than the others… isn’t she really loaded from 2 Broke Girls? hard to accept but I think she might have the highest net worth out of all those comedians. she didn’t need to go! it’s just like she has some obsession with being a comedian and being a part of this scene. (I could be wrong tho)

    7. It would be easier and frankly more honest to reenact this:

    8. All of the people who performed at that festival have undercut any argument they had by virtue of doing it. It happened to the LIV golfers as well. Just admit that you did it for the money; I would respect that more than the other excuses given.

    9. Does she know the “crown prince” or whatever, had a journalist tortured, dismembered and murdered? Can at least one of them be honest and say it was for the money?

    10. She’s a pretzel atp with all those knots she’s tying herself in.

Im so sick of these weaselly motherfuckers. Nobody is mad because you performed in Saudi Arabia. People are mad because you performed at the Saudi Arabian Royal family’s behest.

    12. It’s wild how so many people in America look to comedians for their viewpoints about everything… and practically all of the comedians are dumber than a barrel of oil.

    13. As if Saudi’s are allowed to publicly oppose their government without consequence. RIP Jamal Khashoggi especially with the day of his murder in just a few days.

She’s always been a full idiot so I’m not surprised she can’t form a coherent response to the criticism.

lol I guess Whitney!! You’re so crazy and weird for supporting slavery 🤪

    16. Did you go there and make fun of their King? Make a joke about how the crown prince could have been incolved in potential crimes? You would be killed if you did that. You can make fun of Trump and the fascists here as much as you want (for now). That’s the difference performing there vs here in USA. Go fuck yourself Whitney Cummings. Maybe you can find a new home in Saudi Arabia.

Edit: and no, that’s not racism. You are the racist here for generalizing everyone in Saudi Arabia as one race.

    17. I knew this bitch was insane when I read her psychotic book. Just take accountability and admit you wanted money instead of pulling the racist (??) card when this has nothing to do w that. She is insufferable.

    18. Way to not follow the money and miss the point, Whitney. How convenient for her. I used to really like watching her when she was on Comedy Central. Her raging dumpster fire of a podcast made me stop. Shame nothing has changed. Keep pouring gasoline, I guess.

    19. I didn’t realize the people of Saudi Arabia personally invited them all over there and paid them. I guess I misunderstood, I thought it was the horribly corrupt and inhumane government.

This response is in such bad faith, I refuse to believe that this is in any way sincere.

This is the most international attention a nobody like Whitney Cummings is ever going to get, so I’m not surprised she’s rabbiting on about it. She’s a verified Fool.

    22. I mean, whatever, right? Like, this lady hasn’t been relevant in years, and even when she was relevant she still wasn’t. This isn’t going to help rekindle your career, but go off, Queen.

    23. JayZsAdoptedSon on

Somewhat unrelated but Whitney talks like she thinks she’s some unsung genius but its always some of this psudeointellectual bullshit

Like she’s like if an Austin comic was insisting they’re the next Carlin
