King Charles III Reacts to Prince Andrew Giving Up Royal Titles | E! News

How King Charles III reacted to Prince Andrew giving up his royal titles. On October 17th, Charles younger brother shared that he will no longer be using his royal titles, including Duke of York due to the continued scrutiny related to his association with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. E-News has learned that his decision to pull back on his royal status came after close consultation with the king and that his majesty is ultimately glad with the outcome. This is the second time that Prince Andrew has had changes made to his titles. In 2022, Queen Elizabeth, months before her death, stripped him of his military affiliations and royal patronages amid the sexual abuse case. Prince Andrew announced his latest update in an October 17th statement released by Buckingham Palace, saying, “In discussion with the king and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of his majesty and the royal family.” The 65-year-old explained that he has made the decision, quote, to put my duty to my family and country first, adding, “With his majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me.” Andrew was given the Duke of York title upon his marriage to ex-wife Sarah Ferguson in 1986. But while he will no longer use that title, he will still retain the title of prince as he is the son of the late Queen Elizabeth II. In 2021, Virginia, who died by suicide in April at the age of 41, alleged that she had been trafficked by Epstein and subsequently sexually abused by the British royal when she was 17 years old. While Epstein died by suicide in 2019 in a New York jail while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges, Juprey filed a federal lawsuit against Prince Andrew in 2021. The royals settled the suit the following year, though he has continued to deny the two engaged in any sexual relations. And in his October 17th statement, Andrew again addressed the allegations, saying, “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against Eight. [Music]

Prince Andrew shared that he made the decision to give up his royal titles amid continued scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein after a discussion with brother King Charles III. 1. I think King Chuck has given him the same choice disgraced government ministers are given, resign and you can the press whatever you like, Or go through a humiliating ordeal which will result in you being fired and we'll release enough stories to make sure your reputation is irrevocably destroyed.
If The King had to ask parliament for permission to strip Andrew's titles, they're not going to refuse him and be seen as trying to help the paedo prince
