The fact that this happened at all is egregious enough on its own, but the extra bit of shit in this sandwich of fuckery is that she was pretty much forced into the meet and greet in order to do her live show. It was a condition they imposed. And she wasn’t allowed her own bodyguard because hers bodyguarded too hard (he did his fucking job) and they didn’t like it.
>Complicating this is Emiru telling a story about how on a different occasion two years ago, Emiru’s personal security guard had briefly held a man following her around the convention, but because he touched anyone, he was permanently banned from TwitchCon. The security guard was banned, to be clear, so he was not with Emiru during this incident.

So they ban her bodyguard for protecting her last year and then allow her to be assaulted and then let the assailant just walk free?
I understand it was a matter of time before this happened at TwitchCon, but this is next level idiocy.
Like she has to have grounds for a pretty good lawsuit.

Wild how every year something shitty is guaranteed to happen at twitchcon but they never make it any safer for the people who literally bring in the money

I know nothing about twitch streamers but this is so upsetting to hear as a woman, as the response from twitch was so shitty and she deserved to be supported and protected. I hope she’s able to sue or get some form of justice for their negligence and ridiculous response. It’s insane to me that they banned her body guard from the event because he protected her from stalker previously at that same event?! I feel so sorry for her that any of this happened.

Her personal bodyguard was also banned from the event in a previous year for literally doing his job, allowing this to happen. She talked about this previously, too.
