Blake Lively Is CRASHING OUT After WME Powerhouse Agents Finally EXPOSE the Truth
Blake Lively is officially losing it after Justin Baldon’s former agent just used a word no one expected, at least from his side, and that is extortion. And it wasn’t just a rumor. It was a sworn testimony in a deposition. We’re also going to go over some of the elements of her contract from a Hollywood perspective that the media is not covering that indicate just how huge this power struggle is with some deeper perspectives for you guys so you can understand who was really in charge on this set. Let’s get into it. [Music] Hey everyone, welcome back to Ashley BTV. I’m a journalist with over 15 years in the media and entertainment industry. And on this show, we like to take you behind the headlines. If you haven’t already, hit that subscribe button. Give this video a like so we can push out to more people who love diving deeper into pop culture, into the fame, money, manipulation, all that fun stuff. And I also have a really exciting opportunity for you guys and that is my YouTube buzzbuilder boot camp. This is a four-week boot camp that you’re going to get to work directly with me oneon-one. We’re going to go over storytelling, how to build your channel, how to monetize your mission, and it is going to be so amazing. We have so much fun in these classes. It starts on Saturday, November 1st. I’m going to give you a 75% off since we’re just launching this one. And I’m really excited. I only want a very small select group of people who are really obsessed and really dedicated to building their channel. So, use the code buzz75 in the link in my description. I’ll pin it in the comments and snag your spot today. Again, it’s going to be a super small group. So, I’m really excited to work with you guys, especially those who are wanting to dive deeper into building their channel, building their business, and monetizing their mission. So, let’s get into today’s story. So, according to TMZ, who broke this story, Danny Greenberg, he’s Justin Baldon’s former agent at WME. WME is one of the top three in Hollywood. You have CIA, you have WME, and you have UT. He testified that Blake Lively’s behavior and mounting pressure on both the studio and Baldon himself felt like quote extortion. He said that if Baldon didn’t give into her demands to take over creative control of It Ends With Us, he’d be sidelined. Now, this is a major accusation and I will say every single person I’ve talked to in Hollywood said that exact same thing as soon as all the filings came out. It was very clear who was in charge. And this is coming from someone though who was now in the room where those conversations was happening. Now, this has also been now picked up by Daily Mail People and US Weekly. So far, none of the other ones are touching it. And I find that really interesting. And this is a huge bombshell because WME is a huge powerhouse agency and everyone there is connected. I’ve actually worked with several of the agents there. And if one agent knew about this, one that was representing one of their clients, the other agents who were also representing Blake and Ryan, 1,00% also knew about this. So when you hear Ari Emanuel saying things like, “Oh no, this never happened. They’re such great people.” No, obviously it’s to protect the money. Now, it was extremely vital that that agent went under oath because, as many of you are seeing who are following this case, Hollywood is one big cover up machine. Celebrities are working with the outlets. Everyone’s trying to stay good with another. Agents are working with each other, trying to stay good with one another to keep the most high-profile clients. So, I’m really, really glad that this came out. And this deposition paints a clearer picture of what’s going on behind the scenes. Greenberg described Lively’s demands as an attempt to take control of the film’s edit, something that would normally fall under, as you probably know by now, the director’s authority, not the actors. Now, People reports that it was Justin’s agent, it was actually Danny Greenberg that helped draft emails to report these tactics. So, according to the People article, they say, quote, “The documents indicate that Greenberg helped Deloni draft emails to distributor Sony about Lively’s quote continued extortion in effort to gain control of the movie.” The agent then clarified he didn’t mean literal criminal extortion. He says, quote, “My use of the word extortion there was referencing just cumulative behavior that both the studio and production company Wayfair Studios and Justin was having to manage.” Now, this testimony also indicated that he believed Lively made threats regarding the film’s August 2024 premiere, which makes perfect sense. Obviously, you guys have seen she never signed her contract. We’re going to dive into her contract a little bit later to show you that her control over this was completely unprecedented in cinema history. He had conversations with Sony production executive an Geianetti and he said quote about the bad beha about the behavior that Blake was displaying along the way referring to the premiere issue. Obviously you guys will recall that Justin, his family, everyone was forced to kind of hide out in the basement for two hours while Blake took the red carpet even though he was the director and producer of the film. Blake’s talent agent, Warren Savala, confirmed he was unaware of any situations that made her uncomfortable in the second half of production, only that she had creative disagreements during postp production. I would be curious. I want more information on what he was aware of of what she felt comfortable in the beginning stages of production. Not for a second do I believe that there was any inappropriate conduct on set. However, let me just point this out. Sets are not like your typical 9-to-f5 workplace. It almost feels like you’re a bunch of friends hanging out, making creative things. Like you’re on sets, different sets every day. You’re working crazy hours. You’re sitting in these like collapsible chairs. You’re in blankets. You’re getting food together. Like, it’s a very comfortable environment. So, I could see people having conversations like, “Hey, this is what my wife looked like when she was pregnant. like let’s try to do a scene like this. Creative collaboration gets very personal. It gets very involved. You’re sharing a lot of emotions, especially when you’re on a set like this, when you’re dealing with such a big internal and external DV when that’s part of the plot line. So, I can see the actors, the directors, everyone having these really intense conversations, bringing in very personal examples like this should have been a comfortable set to do that. So, the fact that she then used that experience to say CI was uncomfortable. I don’t think any evidence so far warrants that. Now, here is where Blake Lively started losing it and crashing out. And we saw that all over her Instagram stories yesterday. And a spokesperson responded to DMZ calling the extortion claim a quote cherrypicked distraction. Are you referencing your New York Times article? because that more felt like a cherrypicked distraction, especially with certain things that were given to them completely out of context when it came to the text messages and the emojis or lack thereof. They said, quote, “The court’s dismissal even assumed their allegations were true for the sake of argument and still held that they don’t amount to a valid claim under the law. This is a legal process, not a clickbait one. this is just a recycled distraction that has nothing to do with the actual SH and retaliation lawsuit Baldoni and the Wayfair defendants are facing. They added that the court even assumed the allegations were true for the sake of argument and still found they didn’t amount to a valid claim under the law. So in other words, Lively’s camp is arguing that this is a distraction from the main SH and retaliation claims. Now, we saw this that Blake Lively claimed that she felt uncomfortable for the first part of production and she filed that letter and she said, “This is wrong. This is wrong. Don’t do this anymore.” None of it felt that crazy, but again, it did feel like that personal creative collaboration could have been taking place. Now, her agent, like I said, I was unaware of anything that went wrong after that except the movie’s post-p production process. And this is where things tend to get very heated on a set. I mean, I’ve seen people get very heated when they’re on sets to begin with, especially the directors and the producers and the main actors, especially when the actors feel at least like they have more leverage over the director and producers, like they’re the ones that should be listened to. The agent said that there were definitely issues when it came to postp production. He said over her quote interaction with Justin and their collaboration in the final stages of post. As you recall, Blake never signed her contract. And she continued to, in Justin Baldon’s former agents words, extort the entire process. And you’ll remember that it was actually Justin’s film that tested better with the audience testing than it was her film. Yet, she said, “I’m never going to promote this movie if you go with his cut.” I mean, that should be blanket enough to say that she was the one in control and extorting him. But we have more. Before we dive into the elements of her lawsuit, let’s let’s see how she’s crashing out on Instagram because Blake is parading around in these ridiculous pajamas trying to distract you. The day after day before, I don’t even know the timeline, but it’s, you know, all within the same 24 hours. As the Daily Mail reports, she looks unbothered as she brushes off extortion accusations against Justin Baldoni. So you have to look at the artists Instagrams as if it’s almost like to them it’s like their own publication and when especially when the outlets pick up what they’re doing it is their way of communicating directly with the public and putting out their own press release. So in a way every time you see Blake put something on her Instagram stories look at that as Blake’s press release. Like it is not innocent. It is strategic. It is calculated and it is her own press release. Remember, mind you, she is 38 years old. She goes, “I am so obsessed with my new jammies that I swap out the bottoms with jeans or slacks and pass them off as a regular shirt. Sh, no one will ever know that one. The shirt is ridiculous, so no one should ever be wearing that shirt as a regular shirt.” And then you put it into context cuz you’re like, “Oh, she’s just trying to be like us.” You see the huge closet full of dozens of shoes behind her. And if anyone cares, that pajama set is $155 online. So, no, Blake is not one of us. Now, the line, shh, no one will ever know, to me is a line that indicates Blake’s personality, which is she does a lot of and she gets away with it, but then she tries to act cute and like she’s our ‘9s millennial bestie, similar to tactics that we see Taylor Swift use, and go, “No one will ever know.” Everything Blake Lively has done so far should really show you how delusional she is. And the reveal of her contract just a few days ago should show you just how entitled she is and the upper hand she actually had on set. Which leads me to the part that I feel like hasn’t gotten nearly enough attention and that’s the money. Because buried in the court filings is something that explains a lot about why this entire project fell apart behind the scenes. So, according to documents that were obtained by reporters, Blake Lively was set to earn $1.75 million in a fixed compensation for playing Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us. This is pretty standard for a mid-budget drama. But then things get interesting. So, her team reportedly negotiated for 10% of the film’s gross proceeds, not profits. She wanted the gross. So that means this is a direct slice of every dollar the movie made before expenses. This is not standard. It’s a top tier deal reserved for a tiny handful of mega stars and producer partners. When I say producer partners, I mean someone like a Justin Baldoni, someone like a Mindy Kaling, someone like a Margot Robbie, which makes a lot of sense. She wants the very similar deal to what Margot Robbie probably had for Barbie. Now, it is incredibly uncommon for an actor, even an A-list one, not Blake Lively, an A-list star, to receive 10% of gross unless they’re a major producer, like I said, or a major financeier. So, let me go over the typical ranges for standard lead actors. So, it’s a fixed fee plus potential box office bonuses, usually capped between 500K to a million dollars. So to put it into perspective, that kind of deal that she made is reserved for the biggest power players in Hollywood. People like Tom Cruz, Robert Downey Jr., Margot Robbie, when they’re producing. But usually those deals are on higher budget tent poles where their name guarantees a billion dollar box office. For a film on this very small scale, that’s almost unheard of. prestige projects or smaller studios, actors might negotiate 1 to 2% of net or a small milestone bonus, but not a full 10% of gross, which is honestly insane. So, if this report is accurate, Blake’s demand far exceeds the standard for her tier, especially given that It Ends With Us was a mid-budget romantic drama, not a blockbuster franchise. So, on top of that, the contract outlined a series of box office bonuses. We saw over and over again she demanded $250 once the movie made three times its production cost. Another 250 when it hit four times, another 250 at five times. Plus even more bonuses tied to award nominations, which was honestly hilarious to think that Blake Lively was like, “Wait, wait, wait. If I win an Oscar, I need another 100K.” So, all this goes to show you that she wasn’t just the star. She was acting like she was a studio partner. A lot of times these actors are getting vanity producer credits, which I can guarantee Blake Lively essentially had a vanity producer credit because she was the lead actress. That doesn’t make her the same entitlement as someone like Justin Baldoni, someone like Margot Robbie, who was the one bringing in the material, actually bringing this to fruition from the beginning. So with that kind of financial stake, we see that the creative control becomes everything. You see how strongly she wants to succeed. Even if she is selling something that you’re not getting, which think about this, we saw that in two different ways. We saw her sell It Ends With Us, in a way that felt very Barbie, and yet it’s a movie about domestic violence. Then we see her former besty, Taylor Swift, sell us her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, as a showstopper that we all thought they were going to be like banger hits, and yet it’s in the forest. It’s like they both sold us things that they weren’t guaranteeing and that they didn’t deliver on and they did that so they could get those numbers. So the higher the back end, the more incentive she had to push her version for her edit, her marketing vision. That was Ryan Reynolds marketing team and ultimately her authority on set. I want to pause for a moment because I’ve talked to a lot of producer friends about this. It would have been incredibly hard to promote a film about DV to anyone to get people to go to the box office because you don’t really want to go see a movie like that. So, how do you promote it? It’s a very fine line. However, they completely crossed that line in the promotion because of the way Blake Lively was handling her answers. So, Blake Lively, in order to make the real money, in order to make the Ryan Reynolds money, you had to think, “Oh, this needs to be the next Barbie.” that was completely out of line, especially for what the topic was about DV. But I have spoken to a number of producer friends. They say it it would have been incredibly hard to promote a movie about DV and to get people to like want to go to the theater. People want to go to the theater for like fun stories, for stories about heroins, triumphing. So what did Blake Lively do? She made it like that. Except she didn’t take the message of it seriously. There was a way to make Lily sound like, “Oh, she’s strong and powerful.” But also, she’s overcoming an insane issue that, you know, blank percentage of women face and we really want to get this message heard and women deserve to be heard and and things like that. Obviously, you saw Blake did not take that approach because she wanted more money. She wanted more people in those seats. So, this is where the friction all started. and she probably felt even bigger desire to promote this type of marketing because of this insane 10% of gross earnings. Like that’s insane. So think about it. When your paycheck depends on every box office milestone that you hit, you are going to fight for the version that you believe serves you and who are you going to listen to? You’re going to listen to your husband’s company who’s marketing and promoting the film and is known to make millions. I really wish that financial publications like Forbes or like Bloomberg or someone that really understands the inner workings of the studio would really focus more on this versus the headlines that are focused on harassment and PR statements and lawyers fighting with each other. because this type of deal is for the most part unprecedented especially for the level actress that Lively is and was taking into production and also her commitment in the arrangement of you’re an actor vanity producer credit that doesn’t make you a Justin Baldoni. So you follow the money and the picture starts to make a lot more sense doesn’t it? Meanwhile, her dulu Deadpool husband continues to try to use his dead father to drum up headlines. And why I say that is because I always want to be careful. Like my mother passed away when I was younger and I know a lot of celebrities at times have to talk about these things. But why I’m saying that is because people came out with this article about Ryan Reynolds doing a Q&A. But they’re referencing a comment about this Q&A session for the release of John Candy, a movie he produced about the late comedian. But they chose to publish the article just a couple days ago when the actual event happened back in September. And then they add even more context and quotes from Reynolds from prior years. So this felt very like a PR stunt to me, distracting from the ex agents deposition. He says, quote, “The grief thing is odd. I find it hits you at weird times. When my father passed away, we had a complicated relationship.” This is a statement he made September 24th at the event. He said there’s an episode with Fallon that exists where you’ll see me lose my train of thought. Sharing that his dad had already been dead for several years at that point. They continue on to say that Ryan Reynolds is explaining I was on Jimmy Fallon one night years after the death and I was in the middle of a story and it just hits you like an effing freight train. They say Reynolds 48 recalled how he stopped, paused for a moment to process and then recovered with a joke as quickly as possible. Most people would never notice it, but grief is one of those things that just pulls you at the weirdest moments. My question is, if this was a big headline that came out of this September 24th event, why did this article come out like 3 weeks later? So, you’re starting to see the manipulation when you continue to dive deeper into all of these stories. And unfortunately, as many of you guys know, people are only reading the headlines. the amount of my friends who share just like these ones sentence quote boxes on Instagram of what the president’s doing or what a celebrity is doing, but they don’t understand the full article of what’s happening. They don’t read other articles. It’s actually insane. And that’s why I love what we’re doing on this channel because we’re we want you to become critical thinkers. I’m not trying to encourage you or force you to think one way or another, but I want you to think critically and dive deeper into the stories. What was the intention behind the creation of this article? Clearly, Ryan Reynolds PR team is working with these publications saying, “I I we got to put out something that’s that’s good and distracting.” And what do they do? They try to pull at your heartstrings. They try to talk about a deceased relative, adding more context, making the story way longer, when really he said like one thing, saying, “Ma’am, grief is crazy. I It hit me like a freight train.” So, while you might be seeing Blake Lively brush off these extortion claims and flaunt around her pajamas in public, we’re really seeing her credibility collapsing with with these people coming out finally under oath behind the scenes saying, “No, everyone felt exorted. I was speaking with Sony directly. Sony still hasn’t come out and said anything. So, it’d be great for them to finally come out. I think what we’re seeing right now is a complete collapse in trust in celebrities and the media and the intermingling that goes on because it’s just really starting to feel gross to the public. And as someone who has been on a number of sets myself, I will say this 100% happens. They want sets to feel like this warm and cozy environment. Emma Watson talked about this recently, how her set of Harry Potter really did feel like that. I mean, you’re on set with people for over 10 years. You know, every single person, but after that, she said it was actually very sad because I saw you don’t really become friends with people. They want you to think that we do, but we don’t. Like, she’s talking about the sets after Harry Potter. You see, well, it’s not like you guys are best friends. It’s not like Blake Lively and Isabella Ferrer were actually buddy buddy unless Blake Lively had ulterior motives. I will say honestly this is just fact at this point. Like there is no twisting of it. Blake Lively had zero motives to take on and befriend Isabella Ferrer, which is why you didn’t see her do that with Jenny Slate or anyone else because she can’t necessarily fully manipulate them. She can manipulate someone like Isabella Ferrer. Then again, she did manipulate Jenny Slate because Jenny Slate ended up making a statement supporting Blake Lively immediately without diving further into the story. At the end of the day, you see that this is all about money. The tight budgets, the time pressures, everything needs to be done in a certain amount of time. So now you’re starting to see that outlets are in bed with these celebrities versus just reporting the truth. Because if they did, you would see push back harder for quotes from these celebrities. And they don’t notice how no outlet ever asks them, “Hey, so how’s your lawsuit?” or “How did things really go on set?” or anything like that. No, they’re focused on, “Oh, Blake Lively is flaunting around in her pajamas.” I think it’s a huge revelation and awesome that at least the public gets to see Belon’s former agent who again, same agency that represents Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, says, “No, this is what’s actually going on behind the scenes.” Because everyone in Hollywood knows this. Everyone who’s worked in the entertainment industry can see just by reading some of the documents that Blake Lively is lying. She’s the one who had control on this set and these contracts should show you even further. So, I want to hear from you. What do you think this means in the set in the lawsuit? What do you think is going to happen? Let me know in the comments below. And remember, snag your spot in my YouTube buzzer boot camp. Soooooo strange to see TMZ & People etc suddenly pivot & start reporting accurately the moment Danny Green’s deposition became public (after months of distorting the facts of the case), so makes me wonder if Blake has now lost backing from WME???
5:01 and a main star
14:37 EXACTLY ❤selling and setting false expectations
Nous nous en doutions quelle a manipuler pour s’approprier le film d’où vient les disputes Justin a travaillé dur pour réaliser se film et a investit avec son argent y’a quoi s’énerver
Your kinda Like a Blake yourself using Taylor in the same type of way to prove your point.
Blake is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Do you remember when Blake said that the movie's budget were next to nothing, that she had to beg for favors to support the film…..so comical 😂😂😂😂
I love the collapse of trust in Hollywood and these big publications being exposed as paid media bots
BL has convinced herself that she is an A lister who deserves much more than she actually is worth. She's a garden variety C lister aging Hollywood actress. There's thousands like her in Hollywood. She's a legend in her own mind.
Someone said BL & RR wanted to promote D&W/IEWU as the next Barbenheimer, but she promoted IEWU as the Barbie when it was the Oppenheimer half.
She was just GREEDY AND COMPLETELY TONE DEAF
Both Ryan and Blake are both MANIPULATIVE
SONY NEED TO TELL THE TRUTH
You rock, girl, perfectly broken down. I agree with you!
Hyped this!
I hate Blech. She's just a terrible human like her orange-faced husband Mean Lantern
I wonder if the cast members that supported Blake still support her 🤔. A lot of the public has shifted to justin due to evidence, some still delusional 😂😂😂. Thank you, Blake, for introducing justin to me. I have watched him and his good.
If this gets to a jury, Baldoni will win. Normal people will see right thru Lively.
Your additional insight into what goes on in Hollywood really helps put this whole case in perspective. It’s pretty horrible that after everything they gave her that she would accuse, destroy and betray in order to gain what???
I don’t believe a word of anything Blake and Ryan say
If Ryan is telling her what to wear, what to do. That is Ryan controlling her not being a loving husband
And now, all that money she has to spend it all to lawyers 😅
I feel bad for him she bought the media and the legal system despite him having a great lawyer seems evil won this time …so my prayers to him(Justin) and his family
This case has pulled back the veil of PR manipulation and I’ll never trust celebrities or mainstream media again. It’s disgusting the tactics that are used.
Like all malignant narcissists, BL & RR are legends in there own minds
MSM is all lies and paid content. Its incredible to me that they think the public beleives it. They put bots and leak stuff then pay more bots to share stuff and theyre acting like the general public and real humans of earth were ever supporting her. Shes clearly bought her way into fake power and somehow her brain actually beleived it was real. She is a spoiled brat and its finally caught up to her like most of us got humbled as kids.
This is a story of someone who's bad behavior went unchecked for too long. She has gotten away with things for a long time and we could all see it but the paid for msm machine tried to shove down our throats that reality was not true. It was extreme media gaslighting and I think the msm is realizing none of us are buying the lies and bs anymore nor do we care too. We are all out here fighting for our lives while these elites crush normal people through extortion and EXACTLY what this is. Humanity is sick and tired of injustices by elites. This has shown how delusional and disgusting these celebs are, there is no low and nothing they wont pay to create or make dissappear. Money is making these people delusional. While the rest of us are busy living fulfilling, real lives with a sense of karma, justice and care towards others they are all Me,ME,ME
In reference to the the 1st phase of filming and the CRD
How can Blake Lively claim to have had an enforceable agreement before she ever signed one? If she refused to sign the original written contract, how could there have been any valid employment relationship in place under the law?
This was a major motion picture with a production and promotional timeline stretching well over a year. Doesn’t the Statute of Frauds clearly require contracts of that scope to be in writing and signed by the party to be charged? If no signature exists, how can an oral or unsigned agreement suddenly become enforceable?
And even if she accepted payment for work before the written agreement was signed, doesn’t the law make it clear that payment alone does not create a binding contract where the Statute of Frauds applies?
If she later signed a 17-point written agreement, and received millions of dollars under that contract, isn’t that the only actual enforceable agreement between the parties? And can a signed contract ever be considered an “addendum” to a contract that never legally existed in the first place?
If there was no signed agreement prior to the 17-point deal, and oral agreements of this type are barred by the Statute of Frauds, on what legal basis can she bring claims tied to an unsigned contract?
