How Hilaria Baldwin, Alec Baldwin’s Kids Reacted to Her ‘DWTS’ Journey | E! News

I mean, um, so I I I said this in an interview, but my daughter, the first day that we got here, I was like, what if like I just made this big deal. We’re here. We’re in a house that we don’t know, which is lovely, but like we’re like doing all these new things. I’m putting you guys in homeschool and I’ve made like such a big chaos for our family and you guys are so wonderful and supportive. Like what if I get eliminated right away? And she looks at me, she says like without like skipping a beat. She says, “Honey, at least you tried.” I mean, it’s like, and for like a 12-year-old to be like, “At least you tried.” And the kids my kids say these things and so they’re proud, you know? I mean, they they got sad with, you know, of course they were there during the elimination and um and you know, I said to a few producers, I’m like in tears and I and like I was said, I feel like I’m such a bad mom. Like I feel like I let them down. You know, you have all this stuff. And I think that it’s going to be a great lesson for them because they are aware of people who strategically did this, you know, to game a system, which is um I don’t know how that’s going to be remembered and my kids are going to be aware of it and I’m sure their children will be aware of of this. Um but again, it’s a dance show like this is not there’s big problems in the world and this is not one of them and I’m only grateful for the amount of time that we had. So I think resilience, I think uh sticking together and supporting each other through through something that somebody wants to do and connecting to passions. I think all of this stuff are are good lessons. And then when it comes to the more negative aspects of it, you know, my kids learn that you you be yourself. You continue on. You hear the negative noise and you continue on. And yes, maybe they can trip you. Maybe you’re going to fall, but you get back up again. as much as my kids were really supportive, you know, seeing them miss me was was painful and just being coming back and being so tired. Um, I mean, how many times I just came home and I would see whatever like leftovers the kids had and I would eat it cold and it was like which is fine like but like I’m like I’m like wow I’m at this point and you’re you know your body hurts and and and I’m you know I mean I’m older than a lot of the people that were on the show and there’s a few people that are older than me but you know and I’ve had more babies than any of the people on the show and that has made many miles on my body. I’ve broken a lot of bones and I feel like that was hard. I think as well, you know, I mean, it it is a reality show and I think that where my heart got hurt a bit is that I just like love to dance. I want to have fun and be there is going to be a certain level of drama. But I think most important thing is just, you know, gratitude, leaning into gratitude, being positive, focusing on all the wonderful people who are supportive around. And I think that that can change our mentality.
