Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner Smith have put aside their legal battle for now. After the former couple reached a settlement back in May following their October 2023 split, they’ve called off their divorce trial over child custody issues. with Jod requesting in a filing obtained by EN October 17th that the dates for her and Joshua’s divorce trial be removed from the court’s calendar, stating that the pair are currently working on a new custody plan for their 5-year-old daughter Juno that won’t require a whole trial. While the two had initially agreed to maintain quote the existing temporary joint legal and physical custody orders awarding joint legal and physical custody to the parties with equal time shares in their May divorce settlement. The legal battle was reignited when Joshua filed a motion later that month requesting an emergency custody order modification claiming that Jod had enrolled their daughter in a new school without his permission.
