Ireland Baldwin is getting candid about where she stands with her family. Ahead of her 30th birthday on October 23rd, the daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Bassinger published a blog post entitled 30, flirty and surviving, wherein she reveals she has sever ties with members of her extended family. Sharing to her Substack subscribers, I move into 30 with a lot less weight on my shoulders. this weight that was brought on by the need to carry my narcissistic, unreliable addict family members who I thought I needed in my life. Going on to reflect on her quote lonely childhood following her parents’ divorce in 2002, Ireland explains that she felt the need to quote win over certain relatives as she grew up, a habit she eventually abandoned. She continues, “Nothing was more freeing than finally realizing how poisonous these people are. So I inch into my 30s with an understanding that this is how you break these cycles. And Ireland who shares daughter Holland with musician RAC also cites motherhood as a reason for establishing firmer boundaries saying my daughter doesn’t have to know these people and I can protect her from them. I can do my very best to construct my own idea of a family piece by piece and show how a real family treats one another. So true, if certain family members are going to make your life more difficult it may be in your best interest to do away with them completely. Family gatherings won't feel as awkward or other public events. Sometimes a family member marries the wrong person someone everyone didn't agree. Proceeded to have a child, daughter and everyone made sure that they showed no interest in either of them. That's fine if it makes a lot of family members feel better about themselves. If shunning them feels like a heavy weight has been lifted off of everyone's shoulders then everything is right in their world. Whatever works for any family if hate is in their DNA don't stay too angry for too long. Cancer, diabetic and other strange disease may start eating away at your heart muscles, every fiber of your body including mind and soul. Hate is the devil in disguise and blames everything on the unsuspecting. Be careful and fill your hearts with those you love and love you. Not everything can be solved, butt it doesn't hurt to make all the necessary changes known to man kind possible, to start a fresh new life. Live life to the fullest you only get one life. The inherited family history of everything bad may be festering away at your very core and soul. When all fails go to church the lot of you and confess like the sinners that you are.

I estranged myself from my mother almost four years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. The only people who are allowed in my life are those who return all I give to them which is unconditional love, support, understanding and emotional peace. The outside world is toxic enough and there's not much I can do about it but who I allow into my world is my choice.
