      It’s so refreshing to see a politician these days that has a sense of respect and professionalism for the office they’re taking. I’m not sure how much Mamdani will actually be able to accomplish in his term as mayor given the significant opposition he is facing, but at the very least, I hope this encourages others to follow form.

      In Belgium when a politician would say something like that about another politician they would be out of their political party (and politics) very fast but in the US they can just say that, the US isn’t a civilised country anymore since Trump!

      Democratic leadership will bend over backwards to callout Mamdani for “antisemitic” comments but will be quiet when blatant Islamophobic comments are directed to Mamdani. They are okay with this. They are complicit. Fuck these liberals

      Remember when it was considered a scandal when Bernie was accused (with no evidence) of telling Elizabeth Warren that “a woman shouldn’t run for office”?

      The weaponization of selective bigotry accusations has been one of the most disgusting tools utilized by the democratic party to oust progressives.

      This reminds me of the years following 9/11 and how Muslims & South Asians became the defacto ‘boogie man’ in news media and Hollywood. The amount of fucking crazy ass racism that came bounding out of people was crazy- in the US, Can and the UK, it was like the flood gates truly opened.

      And now, here we are again. The trash bags in political and financial power prove that time is a flat circle.

      It’s so wild that we (I’m American) are so deluded that, just because it’s in American English, these racists think it’s okay to say but if they heard people saying the same shit in Spanish about Americans they’d throw a fit. So embarrassing – it’s just not a serious country.

      Yep, we need to primary bigots like Gillibrand and Schumer. Gillibrand in particular said super-bigoted stuff about Mamdani.

      Plus, both of them have been absolutely useless.
