Jeremy Renner gives health update after near-fatal accident ahead of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4

There’s only a year off the the incident. Uh two years off of it this season. Um I’m much stronger, much clearer, happier, more awake and attentive. Um so yeah, we we really enjoyed this this experience. Yeah, I certainly questioned my ability to be able to do uh fiction, but this this season um was it was a lot more enjoyable. I could I found a more a voice to to get back into entertainment, which is so far away from my life prior to that. Um, yeah, it was it was uh I don’t know if I I’m I haven’t gotten any more insight because of what I’ve been through, but at least I’m I’m happy enough to and blessed enough to still continue doing what I love to do. Oh gosh. From the Sopranos. Well, um I don’t know. Not really. Carmela was who she was uh based on her relationship to a very powerful man. She was powerful in her own right, but by virtue of the fact that she was married to Tony and Nah’s, you know, a self-made woman. I think I think her power is her own and it comes from something that she does and that she does well. And uh so I mean it’s power nonetheless, a sense of confidence and unshakability in who you are, but they certainly are very different. I like his selflessness. That’s that’s that’s something that I think makes is relatable to me that way. I like I like that that character trait.

Nearly three years after his near-fatal accident, Jeremy Renner is feeling “much stronger, much clearer, happier,” he exclusively told The Post.

Renner, 54, stars in “Mayor of Kingstown,” returning for Season 4 on Paramount+ on Sunday, Oct 26.

Co-created by “Yellowstone” mastermind Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, the show is set in the fictional Kingstown, Michigan, a company town rooted in the business of prison. There, the McLusky family, led by Mike (Renner), mediates between the various factions of cops, prisoners, prison guards and street gangs.

“Season 3 was the one where I was pretty affected. That was really a year off the incident. Two years off of it, this season, I’m much stronger, much clearer, happier, more awake and attentive. So yeah, we really enjoyed this experience,” Renner said about filming the new episodes.
