The first trailer for Scream 7, which has brought back Neve Campbell after Melissa Barrera was unjustly fired for supporting Palestine, has sadly been released

    1. I am huge scream fan and have wanted a Mathew Lillrad for a while but I am not gonna watch it theaters after what they did to Melissa

So what the hell was that? 5 and 6 did surprisingly well in the box office this being sent to dje with February releases makes me happy. Anyway….Free Palestine!

Nope. Not watching. It’s disgusting what they did to Melissa. I know they won’t say anything and it won’t mean anything but I hope they’re asked about Melissa during the promo run

I’m not even that interested in pirating this. I liked the Jenna Ortega/Melissa Barrera plotline from the last two movies. This looks like a big step backwards story wise.

    5. I’ll watch Abigail and Your Monster both starring Melissa instead 💕💕
ETA: for anyone else interested in watching these gems Abigail is on Peacock and Your Monster is on HBO Max 🙂

    6. I’m a huge fan of this franchise but I won’t be watching this movie after what they did to Melissa Barrera.

    7. Ughhhhhhh. I’ve been catching up on Screams 5 and 6 this week, to great enjoyment, mostly because of Melissa and Jenna and the new storyline. (The new cast members around them have been great, too.) And I love Neve Campbell. But I don’t sense any of the Scream DNA in this one: where’s the humor? The meta self-awareness of horror tropes?

I wanted Matthew Lillard back in a Scream movie for decades. I’m not gonna see this one. Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Side note, didn’t the woman playing Sidney’s daughter star in that godawful school shooter film where she John McClane’d her way to beating the villains?

Wait… Is that Matthew Lillard’s voice at the end??

Still not watching though after what they did to Melissa. Nev shouldn’t have come back either.

    11. I’m so annoyed at Matthew Lillard. Not very slc punk of you to join a project where the lead was fired for opposing genocide.

ALSO for us scream fans out there this is just objectively bad storytelling. The hype around Stu potentially returning was so good in scream 6 with the MTA station clues suggesting he was somehow alive. The reason it was fun was because we didn’t know if it was going to happen or not! Why spoil the twist from the jump?

Fuck this franchise and fuck everyone who returned after Melissa was fired. We see where you stood in response to genocide and won’t forget

Scream really fucked their legacy up between Melissa Barrera’s firing, and refusing to pay Neve what she deserved in the first damn place.

    13. I can’t pretend I’m boycotting this because I wasn’t going to watch it anyway, but it’s gross what they did to Melissa.

hilarious that she quit due to a pay dispute but had zero dignity to come back to the franchise

Hard pass. 6 was already a flop and after dropping the only good part, Melissa, no thank you.

I know this is an unpopular opinion for scream fans but I’m over seeing Sydney and also Stu coming back makes no sense.

Just let the legacy characters go man.
