Sister Wives’ Kody Brown Says Dating Is “Kissing Another Man’s Wife” | E! News

When you’re just dating, you’re kissing another man’s wife. Cody Brown is laying down the rules when it comes to his kids and dating. After his and Robin Brown’s eldest daughter, Aurora, brought home boyfriend Brody on the TLC series October 26th episode. Cody reminded the rancher that it was his job to protect the 23-year-old. You know, I’m not there to protect her and so it’s your job to protect her, right? Yep. And do you feel that way? Oh, definitely. So, you would be a miss if you didn’t protect her from yourself. Right. Definitely. Yeah. What do you think? How do you interpret that? What do you think about that? My whole thing was, you know, she’s got to have a way to protect herself. And uh, you know, I do as well. So, I gave her one of my knives and I kept another. But if you’re protecting her from you, what does that mean? Protecting her from me? Uh well, you know, obviously we were just getting to know each other and we’d been friends for just a little while and uh so I could tell she was just kind of oh, you know, nervous, I’d say, and uh you know, there was some uncertainties there and yeah, so I figured I’d just give her a knife and make her feel good. I like that. Yeah. Of course, that’s not the sort of physicality the former polygamist was concerned with. Young man, almost always your job is to protect my daughter, even from yourself. When you’re just dating, you’re kissing another man’s wife until she’s your wife. And if she doesn’t become your wife, you’re kissing another man’s wife. Ultimately, Brody was able to hang on through Cody’s intense questioning. I just think it’s funny because after a while, it’s clear that my dad’s talking about chassity kind of.
