Where is the lie… the capitalist engine keeps funneling more cash into this administration so they can carry out their demented agenda.
We can vote, we can boycott, we can organize… (and of course we still ought to do those things!) But when guardrails failed to pass in the first place, it feels very much we are John Henry. Corporations and billionaires have obscene wealth at the disposal. I don’t know how society is going to rectify this without first going through a lot of pain 😔

So that means all 4 major networks (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) are compromised?!
Not including all of the nonprofits having to cowtow to dump’s desires.
Where and what can I watch now? Netflix?

The merger and acquisition thing is the whole point.
Warner Bros Discovery is for sale and it might be the biggest goldmine in terms of library and IP in the media landscape that someone can just snap up.
We already know that Paramount-Skydance and Netflix are looking into the financial details of a deal and Comcast won’t be far behind either. Don’t forget that they tried to buy 21st Century Fox from under Disney but they backed out so they could complete a deal for Sky in Europe, so they’ve always been interested in a situation like this.
There is a scenario here where Comcast could get the nod from the Trump administration if Comcast “suddenly” realise that both Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers cost too much money and need to be taken off the air and that both MSNBC and CNN need to be divested into dust.
For them, donating $10m (i don’t know the amount) to a White House ballroom is worth it if they can continue to license Friends to Netflix for $100m a year and drive traffic to Peacock with a promise of the a new Batman movie.
