The message calls for people to vent their frustrations to official Fortnite social media accounts, but reiterates not to harass Epic Games employees about this leak, as well as other leakers "who do not share this sentiment":

[FortniteLeaks understands] that many of you will not really care about the opinions of an anonymous Fortnite leaker. However, as someone who has raised hundreds of dollars for The Trevor Project over my years on this server, it is incredibly disheartening to see Epic Games turn in this direction.

If you feel frustrated about this, I recommend directing these frustrations towards the official Fortnite account – this is the best way to make your voice heard and has the greatest chance to have an impact on Epic Games' future decision-making. Please do not harass Epic Games employees about this, and please do not harass other leakers who do not share this sentiment – this game is a major source of income for many of these people, and they cannot risk losing their standing with Epic Games.

It might feel like making change is impossible, but I have been part of this community for long enough to know that if Fortnite fans are good at anything, it's not giving up without a fight.

The most disappointing thing about all of this is you really quickly find out, as a trans person, who your real friends are. I’ve lost quite a few friends over the Harry Potter thing- a lot of people not understanding why it upset me that I was disappointed with them consuming (new) Harry Potter media as Joanne uses that money to directly harm my community

no wonder we slip into fascism so easily. people won’t even stand up for their trans friends and family over something as easy as making a video game developer acknowledge their poor taste and indirect support of transphobic legislation… fuck your actual human rights, i want to use a wand and have hogwarts house in fucking fortnite!

    3. Genuinely, if any HP stuff appears on the Battle Pass, I’m cancelling my Crew sub and straight up refuse to log in for the season. I don’t want any of that shit tied to my account, and removing it from my locker is not enough.

    4. So many people I know just drop the, “But I really love the series” line and it’s like, you’ll love other series too. It’s okay to drop this one that is aimed at kids and written by a racist transphobe.

Literally who is this even for.

The children playing Fortnite don’t even know Harry Potter
