Justin Baldoni’s Countersuit Against Blake Lively Closed After Missing Deadline

Justin Baldon’s $400 million counters suit against Blake Lively has seemingly come to an end. According to multiple outlets, a new order on October 31st states that a federal judge has closed Baldon’s case against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds after the actor’s legal team failed to amend the suit, which was dismissed in June due to not being able to prove the allegations of defamation or civil extortion by the October 17th deadline. However, Lively suit against her co-star for sexual harassment and retaliation remains open. E-News has reached out to Baldoni and Lively’s respective legal teams for comment, but has not yet heard back. The two’s legal back and forth has been ongoing since December when the actress sued Baldoni and his production company Wayfair Studios after filing a civil complaint against him for sexual harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. She also accused him of attempting to destroy her reputation through a retaliatory smear campaign. For his part, Baldoni counters sued Lively as well as her husband and the couple’s published as Leslie Sloan the following month and filed a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times after the newspaper published a story detailing her complaint. However, all his cases have since been dismissed by a judge. An official trial for Lively’s case against Baldon and Wayfair is scheduled to commence in March 2026. [Music]

    1. I think Justin and the Wayfarer parties are focusing on refuting all these outrageous allegations against them in court, and proving that what occurred was extortion and an attempt from Lively to take over IEWU and future productions associated with it. Wayfarer owns the rights of a possible sequel with “It Starts With Us”.

    2. This is a HUGE case, and E!News has been so selective about what headlines from yhe case they'll report. It's very telling when you realize the headlines they'll post are half-truths, even delayed or outdated, or even disproportionately biased toward one side of the case, despite current data and evidence showing innocence is on the opposite side than what E! is indicating.

Basically, E! is suspiciously quiet until they suddenly misrepresent and misreport a story that leads the public away from the truth.

Takeaway: E!News, among other outlets, is NOT a news source; rather, it is a mouthpiece for the wealthier or more surreptitious parties (in this case, Lively's parties) to disseminate their desired narrative.

People, don't just read and listen to headlines. Investigate for youeselves! Too much money, power, and story-spinning in between yoy and the truth when you rely on for-profit "news" sources that report on their sugardaddies and bedfellows.

    3. Shame shame shame shame shame on E news. no class, so immature. Anything against Baldoni, y'all will be fast to post. When all the rubbish Blake lively and her team does, no word. At the end truth will prevail. Shame on you guys. No class at all

    4. You don’t have any news about the illegal recording BL coerced with that woman director. You don’t have news about how Vanzan illegally obtained Jen Able’s phone either. So, so picky! I think you’re under BL and RR’s paycheck. TMZ and other big celebrity news channels have the powe. if you don’t report in their favor, you can’t interview any celebrities or you’ll be banned. Just like what RR did to his Deadpool makeup artist. If you don’t know the story, look it up. Justice for Justin Baldoni.
