I I do love it. I feel like it’s a great opportunity. I I didn’t think they would be interested in boring old me. So, I was not Do you know what? There there was something in you in this past episode. I was when you you and Ashley at that table, you were not I mean like what what inspired you to decide who you are to let Ashley have it? Well, do you know what what they don’t show? There was a lot of going back and forth and I’ve got four kids so I need to shut it down quick. I don’t have the time for the back and forth. So, after we had talked it through and I kept I I saw that she was going to keep going. I was like, “Babe, we’re not going to do this. Like, you it’s your choice at this point, but like we can go hard or we can go home.” It felt like she was not expecting a newbie to shut it down that way. And I feel like sometimes Ashley and and we love her. We’re big fans of Ashley. It seems that as though sometimes she is emboldened by her bestie Jazelle and she feels a little unbreakable and destructible and kind of feels like a a bit bulletproof, but you Did I get through? I think I think you did a little cup. Where do you and Ashley stand today? Oh, I love Ashley. She’s She’s great fun. She really is. I think um those were like the initial days of meeting and I think it was like, you know, marking territory, seeing what one can get away with. And I’m definitely not a confrontational person. Like I don’t try and start drama, but if you bring it to me, I will meet you where you are. Okay. And you know, they are the OG. So, I think people are scared to kind of speak their mind. But I also know that if you don’t kind of introduce yourself the right way the first time, then it could be hellish. And I do love cuz when I caught up with Ashley, she did love you too. She’s like, she’s like, “Tia is so fun.” Now, when I asked her, “Oh my god, I I’m glad you’re getting along with the newbies, Tia and Angel.” She said, “No, I didn’t say Angel.” Oh, dear. Now, I mean, I know this past episode she was kind of, you know, the tune of a face uh was a lot big topic of conversation. Do is that the start of cuz Ashley and Angel and Angel having a lot of contrast with a lot of people. I wonder if that was that I think that that whole conversation was more about Wendy and Jazelle. I don’t think that’s where their relationship went pear-shaped. Um but it does go pear. I mean according to Ashley I thought they were fine. I’m this is news to me but I could be quite oblivious to some of the drama sometimes and not catch it until the end. I know there were times this past episode where you were like, “They are speaking a different language. I don’t know what’s going on. Slow down. Can we unpack this?” I It’s overwhelming like after a while, and I do this with my kids as well. It’s like it’s a lot and then you just mentally shut down. You’re here, but your your body your body’s here, but your mind is guarded. What did you make of all the discourse about Angel’s face tuning? I honestly watching it as a viewer, I felt really sad for her. I felt really bad for her. And I I I it just it felt like a lot of mean girl energy. And we are fans of Jazelle. We are fans of Ashley. But it seems like they were doineering. And it was tough. It was tough. And I have to be honest with you, even watching it back was tough. I mean, and if it’s tough for me, it must be tougher for Angel. I actually wish I had spoken up more. You know, I was new and I still getting to know Angel. And you know, I don’t necessarily off the back overinsert myself. But I didn’t like it. I mean, when when it’s when the conversation started, what you didn’t see is Jazelle had brought it up in the golf cart and I knew where she was going. And had you seen the photo? I had seen the photo. And actually, the photo on the show was different from the photo that she questioned. It was from the Jasmine brand when it was leaked that we were the newbies. It was me and and Angel. And it was a picture that looked a little bit less tweaked than the one you saw on the episode. But I knew what Jazelle was going to say cuz my cousin had said something similar. Um, so I knew where she was going. So when I know Jazelle, so as she was going, I was like, “Oh, no.” You know, so it wasn’t that I felt it was going to I I filter my pictures, you know? We all do. And also like a housewife calling out another housewife for filtering it. Come on, y’all. The housewives invented FaceTime. You know what I mean? And then also, it’s not really dining conversation. So it did feel mean. It did feel like she was picked and she was about She is so stunning. She’s stunning. and and she’s a great photo taker. She doesn’t even need filter. She knows her angles, her arches, all the things. Well, that’s kind of the thing. Most people who do filter don’t need it, but I’m just like, you’re an artist. Yeah. And you have the right to Are you going to tell Picasso not to paint? Yeah. Exactly. You know what I mean? Yeah. But it Yeah. It it wasn’t it wasn’t great. And once you get to know Angel, she she’s very sensitive and she’s a deep processor. And had I known that about her then, I think I would have had a louder voice. Um, but you know at that time I was like, you know, she has Kay and I. So, does she have Kay? She definitely does. She does. They They have a beautiful relationship and I I really hope that like this show doesn’t get in between them cuz I love them both dearly. Um, but had I been closer to Angel then and even maybe just a little bit more courageous, I just wish I had said more. I mean, I was kind of burying my head cuz I was like, is this really happening? Part of it is also getting used to this new environment because my group of friends, they would probably talk about you behind your back and they wouldn’t bring it to the dinner table. That’s the British way, right? Uh, speaking of Wendy, uh, thoughts on everything going down and have you been able to get in touch with her? Yes. Okay. We’ve been texting. Um, when I when I heard the news, I was actually in England and I thought it was AI the picture. It was just unbelievable. And then as more information, so actually when I first got the picture, I messaged her, “Babe, are you okay? I’m here if you need me.” And then as more information came out, I was like, “Oh my gosh, this is real.” And um it it’s tough. I think, you know, my initial thoughts were her her family, her kids, you know, what that must have looked like. And I’m not really in the business of being judge and jury that will happen when it happens. But you know, she’s a colleague, she’s a friend, she’s somebody that for the since April I’ve been doing life with. So I do have a lot of compassion for her situation. It can’t be easy being under such extreme public scrutiny. And it seems like from just like her um statements and social media too that she feels she seems as good a place as she can be right now. like is she feeling almost kind of hopeful about that this will clear up or so I haven’t spoken to her in depth and you know in the nature of the housewives I can imagine one would be very selective what you would tell another housewife because they could always bring it back to the show which I would never because children and family are involved and you know some people don’t have that discretion um I don’t know how she’s feeling I I often wake up and think about her when I see her on my feed I think gosh what What’s that feel like knowing that you are on on on the tip of everybody’s tongue? And also for the BTOIC fans, we were also excited cuz Karen just got out and met or um last month we’re like, “Oh my god, everyone’s back together.” And I’m like, I know, not no make it stop. I I I don’t need I don’t I’m I’m not a lawyer. I don’t know any of the legal stuff. I know. It’s uh I have to be honest. I thought, what have I done? because a lot of my family were messaging me from Nigerian England and uh my my auntie is a judge, you know, it was just they so I was questioning for two seconds what I had signed up for. Oh to like be associated with that. Yes. And then you know and then you realize that that there be a separation. Exactly. Are you hoping to reconnect with her at the reunion? Oh, absolutely. I actually I miss seeing her. I I’m very concerned for her deeply. I really am. um wrong, right? I don’t know what has happened, but it’s just we’re all human beings. We fall, but you know, the mummy in me is always like, you judge the behavior, not the person. You know, you don’t like the act, but not the person. I know. A good mindset. Yeah. So, you know, and especially for people who like watch over, I’m like, they were always like my dream couple, Wendy and Eddie. They’re a lovely couple. Rob and I double dated with them once and they’re just so lovely. So, it’s it’s it’s heartbreaking. It really is. [Music]
