โ€œThe AP declared the winner when polls closed statewide. AP only makes such a call if all evidence suggests an overwhelming victoryโ€ ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

    2. If California wasnโ€™t so expensive, Iโ€™d be moving there tomorrow. Congrats California! You did the damn thing ๐Ÿ’™

    4. Donald Julianna Trump: “this can’t get worse, surely”

Midterms next year should be a bloodbath provided the Democrats don’t fuck things up

Support progressive candidates like Zohran Mamdani, listen to the people and not your donors

Also Zohran Mamdani is an Arsenal fan, he won twice tonight, up the Gunners

Oh Iโ€™m going to have a GREAT time being home for Thanksgiving in just a few weeks. This might be the closest my parents will come in over a decade to convincing me to move back to the Bay (DGMW I love California I just love the rain and forests of the PNW)

Way to go my fellow Californians, Iโ€™m so glad 50 passed! I hope these wins tonight leads to change and the Democratic Party learns to listen to the people.

    7. Honestly the number of people who turned out to vote was INCREDIBLE!! I went straight after work and the line was around the park (where my polling place was), waited almost an hour and a half to vote!!! Idk gives me a lot of hope!!

    8. So I just wanna say, tonight has been a fucking wild blowout. I have literally only seen the GOP win three races:
      1. An uncontested city council race in a conservative part of my home city
      2. City council elections in the red town that I currently live in
      3. Mayoral elections in the red town that I currently live in and the red town that borders it

The fact that the GOP has, as far as I can tell, *only* been able to win niche local races in areas that are *already* fairly red is *such* an incredible sign for us.

    9. This is such a nice beam of light. I remain cautiously optimistic but I really want this to inspire some hope for others because Iโ€™m so tired of seeing defeatist and doomer comments under any new Trump news

    10. Can’t wait to see the rage posts old gramps in the white house has to say about this victory!! I’m totally enjoying knowing he’s squirming.

Great, now instead of what they plan to do (gerrymander 5 seats), they should gerrymander every district. Make California give Dems 10+ seats to blunt all the red states attempting to gerrymander Dem seats.

I don’t live in California anymore, so I couldn’t vote this time, but I am so so proud of the state that I called home for 7 years ๐Ÿ’™

    13. Never a bad day to be a Californian, the greatest state in the union my home endlessly proud today

Knew this was going to pass (I’m in the LA county results!) but holy shit some of these results are insane. The OC said yes??? San Bernardino??? Riverside??? Even Fresno has a small lead for yes??? A lot of these counties went back to Trump last year so this is a very pleasant surprise to see them vote for a resounding pushback against MAGA.

    15. California really is that girl ๐Ÿ˜ I love my state! DONT POKE THE BEAR ๐Ÿป

    16. Voter turnout was crazy tonight where I was; hundreds of people stood in line for hours and itโ€™s great seeing it pay off!!
