Reese Witherspoon criticizes modern dating and says it’s really broken. She went on the Dax Shepher podcast and told us that we need more romcoms. I do think these 10 to 15 years we started kind of going romcoms are cringey but it was actually where we learned social dynamics. And I think she’s right. I have to agree with her a little bit because you’re able to relate to these characters. You’re able to understand the dating especially as a teen and recognizing that everyone’s scared. Nobody is confident in approaching somebody that they’re attracted. And and you got to take those wrong coms with a pinch of salt. There are moments that are problematic. All of dating is problematic. Anything that is cute is cute if they are into you. And it is creepy if they are not. The them’s the rules. If you say persistent, she’s not interesting. Oh my god, a stalker. 911. Like this guy is a creep. I think that nobody knows what to do. That’s because of dating apps and society and this idea that men shouldn’t go up to women and then women want men to go up to them. I will ask her if she wants to go like rock climbing and then oh go get your Instagram or something like that first and then Nice. How many girls have you taken rock climbing? Two. Oh, that’s a better at least you got to go rock climbing. But I do feel like I’m okay if a girl makes the first move. I love it. Yeah. Just come up to me and say hi and then I know where we stand. There’s a girl and she’s like this at the bar. Don’t talk to her. Also, look at the ring finger if they’re wearing a ring. What if she’s not wearing one when I like approach her? But then like after I say hi, she like puts one on her finger real quick. She doesn’t want to talk to you. Not married.
