Isla Fisher & Kelly Clarkson Are Confused By ‘6 7’ Gen Alpha Slang

    – [Kelly] I love this
outfit, you’re so cute. Welcome back.
    – Ohh, well, thank you. – [Kelly] How are you, how are your kids? – I’m good, kids are good? – [Kelly] Yeah. – Everybody’s good. – Awesome, oh my God, well congrats on returning to franchise. You skipped the second one. – [Isla] Yes.
    – Right? (audience applauding) How is it like getting back into the role? – It is so fun. It is just like, these movies,
more than any other movies, are the ones that people
come up to you on the street and they’re just like, we love Henley and is she coming back? And it was so rewarding
to like make something where there’s like a built in audience and there’s an appetite to
see us all together again. And ultimately, like we all
need to go back to the cinema. – I know. (women talking simultaneously) Sometimes you need to enjoy
like with the audience, like the energy of that, I agree. I don’t even make movies and I push this. I don’t even, like, I don’t even, I have no dog in the
hunt and I’m always like, go see it in a theater. I’m like, it’s like, you know, it’s like, especially with certain, all films, but I mean certain films in particular, it’s like fun when you’re
engaging with an audience. You don’t even know these people, but you hear all the gasps, and the Oh my God, and
you know, all that stuff. – Because it’s doing it together, and we shot in like
Abu Dhabi and Budapest, so we have these amazing exotic locations. We have Morgan Freeman back and it’s just, it’s a lot of fun. – So explain a bit about this movie. We’ve seen some clips. – Okay, so we’ve got this
amazing villain this time, Rosamund Pike. We love a woman, a badie, it is a woman. (audience cheering) – And she plays, she plays evil really well, yeah. – Because she’s mischievous,
she’s naughty with it. She just- – But she’s so sweet in person. I know you’re actors, but I
was like, damn you’re good. – [Isla] Yeah.
    – I was like, yeah. – Oh yeah, she’s terrifying
when she’s in character. – Cold as hell, yeah. – Cold! – Not in person, but on screen,
I’m just like, wait what? – She really is. And that accent is flawless. She’s South African, which
is quite a difficult dialect, and she nails it, absolutely nails it. – I know, so explain a bit about, sorry, I interrupted- – Yeah, so sorry, so we
basically, it’s a similar thing the eye has brought all the
magicians back together, but this time we have three new magicians, and they’re these young kids and, and it’s great to have fresh energy. They’re so different from us. They’re all using, you know,
vernacular we don’t understand, like rizz and like six, seven, and- – [Kelly] Oh my God, oh my God. – Me, Jesse and Woody, and Dave were like, what is happening? – I don’t even know what six, seven is, but my 11-year-old daughter
is in my house saying it. And I’m like, I don’t if it’s bad or good. I’m just leaving it alone. I don’t even know what it means. I’m like, cool, a five, six. I’m like, I don’t know what you’re doing. (Isla laughing) Kickball change, I don’t
know what the hell it is. I didn’t even ask. Do you know what it is? Does anybody know what it is? What is it? Why do people say six, seven? – I don’t think anyone knows what it. – [Man Off Screen] It means nothing. Its a TikTok thing. – I am so (word bleeping) old. – I am, (audience laughing) I am (word beeping) older. – The amount that I don’t care about what just was said is actually, (audience laughing) astronomical. (audience applauding) I am like, what? And it turns out it means nothing, okay. Okay, cool, got it, guys. – [Isla] It’s very postmodern,
stands for nothing. – Do you, oh goodness. So there’s no segue here, but I hear that you
like crafting like I do. – I do, I love crafting. – Me too, it’s so therapeutic. – What’s your favorite craft? – Right now, I’m obsessed with crocheting. – Oh. – Yes, I’m like a grandma. I sit and watch my NFL Sunday football. – You like the NFL, I just got into NFL. – Oh, I heard. – [Isla] Yes! – So wait, y’all actually
went to a Vikings’ game- – [Isla] Yes.
    – In London? – Yes, I did, I’m into the Vikings. – I watched that game, yes. – [Isla] It’s so, it was so fun. – Wake up a lot earlier
here, but, yes, yes. – Yeah, it’s just an amazing
sport once you understand it. It took me a minute, ’cause I’m used to Australian football. – So you’re used Rugby too then? – Yeah.
    – Yeah, yeah, yeah. (women talking simultaneously) – Yeah, I’m into it. – I love it too, I got in, I got into it because of fantasy football. It’s like the, it’s like
a game, like an app game that you play. – [Isla] I don’t even know that. – It, don’t do it, do
it, do it or don’t do it. It takes a lot your time. Like right now I’m thinking,
I have not checked my team to see if anyone’s questionable,
you know what I’m saying? (everyone laughing) But it just hit me and I was like, oh no, I don’t know if, but yeah, okay. Anyway, so, you make,
you make candles though? I’ve never done that.
    – [Isla] Yes. Oh, it’s so easy. – [Kelly] I’ve done a lot of crafts, I’ve never done candles. – Yeah, I think I made like
300 candles for Christmas for everyone, my neighbors. – You use like scents as well? – Yeah, I do, I do. I just go on Amazon, I buy the beads and then I use a double boiler, like, you know, when you
make chocolate cake or any, you know, any, and then I, yeah, then you cool them down and I super glue like the little wicks, and you can get beautiful
Venetian like glassware on Amazon and you can get all sorts
of, yeah, and you just, it’s beautiful. And then it’s a personalized candle. And then I print stickers off. I mean, I really commit. – I am, (Kelly stammering) I will tell you in the break, ’cause I’m not gonna bore everyone, but I get real into crafts and gifts, and, like the meaning behind them.
    – [Isla] Yeah. – So like, and like if
that’s cool with the scents you can actually do it. – Yeah, you pick something
up, lemon grass, lavender, whoever you are giving
it to, or sandalwood. – They’re giving you a hard time, you give them something
like to help, like- – [Isla] Yeah. – Yeah.
    – [Isla] Yeah, manure. – Very similar, yes. That was a look at her new movie, “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t”. It’s in theater starting November 14th. So, in this particular
scene, this is one where you each do a trick in a row. – Right, yeah. – But it’s shooting constantly. – No, so we shot it in one take. – No, that’s what I’m saying. So what if somebody messes up? – Oh, believe me, I was so glad my trick
was like basically first and then I could enjoy
the rest of the scene. But there was Woody, Woody
decided to improvise once when we had done the
world’s most perfect take. And his trick was at the end
and we were like, oh, Woody. Like it was a lot of tension. – Oh my God. – [Isla] But we did it. – That’s amazing. – ‘Cause the director
really wanted the magic in this movie to be kind of practical, so actually, we all
worked really, really hard to get the skills that, that
you’ll see in the movie. And hopefully it’s like,
it might not be as perfect as if it was computer generated, but you’ll feel that when
you’re enjoying the experience that we really are like, we did our best. – Yeah, but I think that’s cooler. Like it’s, I think people are gravitating more towards that too,
’cause everything’s so, done for us.
    – Yeah. – Like, you know, techno,
technology kind of takes over, that the play and the real
life and the unfiltered is, is kind of cool. So you have a scene where
you’re all in a tank of water. – Yes. – How was that? – That was really fun. I mean, it, it’s actually
a tank of sand, first, and the sand is just like
being filled in this tank and it’s myself and all the Horsemen, and then they add water to it. And we were in this tank
for like two weeks shooting and literally by the end
our faces were, you know, this close to the bars. Yeah, would, would you do that? – No. (everyone laughing) No. No. I would not sign up for that. (Isla laughing) I, like, I know that you’re
actors, I get that part, but is there a part of
you that is panicked? Like a part? Like something could go wrong. – No, you know, with the big movies, I could imagine on an Indie, and obviously, accidents
tragically do happen, but on sort of the bigger
movies, you have stunt people, and you have like a big crew
supporting you and they, you know, in this case we
had like an AD coming up every like, honestly it felt
like every hour just going, do you need a bathroom break? And helping you out of the tank. And we all went to the
bathroom the whole time at the beginning, but then sometimes, like some of the cast
just stopped asking to go. (audience laughing) – No. (audience laughing) We all know those kids at the pool, the community pool, you
know what I’m saying? – It was very warm in the tank. – And did you see water go in them? You know what I’m saying,
were you drinking water? – Everybody was hydrating heavily. – Oh, man. It’s like, you know, we
know you’re doing it. – We know, we know it,
we know you’re doing it! – Without shame, that’s amazing and gross. You, so you live in London,
I love going to London, especially around the holidays. It’s so beautiful there. – Yes, it’s so fun, I just got bikes. My brother lives there too. And we’re like the little BMX bandits. We like ride around like
we kids again on our bikes, and I have an English sheep dog and- – Oh. – Everyone’s like, top of the morning. They’re not really. – No, and coming out there with shutters and it’s like “Beauty and
the Beast”, like what? Okay, well that’s France, but whatever. (Isla laughing) Cool, it’s a different place. No, but that’s, I love that city. I think it’s such, it’s a
little bit, it’s different, but I just mean it’s a little
bit like New York for me, in the sense that there’s just all, just different walks of life and culture and things to do. – Yes, yes, and it’s
good for the kids too. They kind of swapped out malls for museums and they’re quite autonomous,
like they can take a bus and- – Yeah. – You know, where in LA we
couldn’t, there were no bus, you know, you can’t get on a bus. – Yeah, all right, what do
you miss about Australia? – I love Australia. – I know, I love Australia so much. – What do you miss most? – I think my favorite
things, aside from like that a beer fixes everything
and barbecuing makes you happy, the beach, I suppose, and every
type of dangerous creature, I miss the food.
    – You made it sound great. (Isla laughing) – I miss the food. – So we knew you liked Tim Tams, so, we brought some. (Isla yelling) (audience applauding) And you said, we heard
that there’s a proper way. – There is a proper way. – What’s the proper way? Okay. What’s the proper? – Okay, so first of all I’m gonna have, do you want milk in your tea? – Yes.
    – Yeah, of course. – Yes.
    – Relax, we cannot have, like, we’re not having that. – [Kelly] For sure. – Okay, so the proper
way to eat a Tim Tam, so is to use it essentially like a straw. So you bite- – Like a what? – A straw.
    – Straw. – So Tim Tams have been
around in Australia probably 60 years, and they are, the greatest thing that
happens in the country. – Wait, you’re supposed to take this? – Wait, you can put
that down for a minute. – Okay. – Just ’cause you’re
gonna need both hands. – Okay, okay, gonna need both hands. – Focus.
    – Got it, got it. – Okay, take a bite out of the end. – Okay. – Like, how was that? – I love- – Do you feel so happy? – Mm-hm. – There’s like chocolate
cream in the middle, so it’s like biscuit on the
outside then chocolate, okay. On the other end. – Oh, the other end, okay. – You bite there. – Okay, okay. – How goes that? Okay, now, we’re gonna do the dunk. Alright, so now you pick up your tea. – We’re gonna dunk? – Well we’re gonna suck and dunk. (audience laughing) Okay. (audience applauding) – Not my first time. – Hold our biscuit. – Okay. – And we’re gonna put our lips around it. – [Kelly] What?
(audience laughing) What are we doing? – And now we’re gonna suck. – Wait, the tea through, like a, I do this with Twizzlers
in the movie theater with cherry coke. Okay, with a coke. – And then once you taste the tea. – Wait, I did it wrong. – Put it all way in your mouth. – I did it wrong, hold on. – Yeah, don’t do this on a
date or with a white dress. Okay, now, when it’s wet
in the middle, right? – [Kelly] Oh my God. – You’d stick the whole
thing in your mouth! – You have got to stop talking. (audience laughing) (audience applauding) Wait for it, wait it for it. Okay, I’m struggling with this dress. I’m trying to be a lady and
this dress is killing me. Okay, I got it, I got it. – I’m not trying to be a lady in my dress. (audience laughing) How good is that? Now, just stick the whole
thing in your mouth. Yes! (audience cheering) How good is that? – Wow. – Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. – It is like. – You’re an Aussie. – It changed the chemistry. It got a little melted also like the, the wafer thing changed, yeah. – And you could do it
with any like hot beverage that you want. You could do it with a coffee, you could do it with just like hot water, but you need the temperature
to like really melt the chocolatey biscuit stuff. – Yes! And then you have it
left over in your hands. I’m gonna be lady, I’m not gonna lick it, but I would, I would. (Isla laughing) All right, give it for Isla Fisher y’all! (audience applauding) Her new “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t” premieres in theaters
    everywhere on November 14th.

Isla Fisher dishes on her return to the world of magical heists in “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t,” including learning real magic tricks for the film and witnessing her co-stars do unspeakable things during a water tank stunt.
