How Kendrick Lamar & More Are Already Making Grammys 2026 History | E! News

The 2026 Grammy nominations are in and history is already being made. Kendrick Lamar leads with nine nods this year and becomes the first rapper to earn five album of the year nominations as lead artist. He’s also the first solo artist nominated for that award with five consecutive studio albums. Joining Kendrick in both best rap album and album of the year are Klips’s Let God Sort him out and Tyler the Creators Chromacopia marking the first time three rap albums are in the album of the year category. Rosé of Blackpink makes Grammy history too becoming the first K-pop artist nominated as a main performer in a top category with Apete for collab with Bruno Mars. The song is now the most nominated K-pop track ever. also nominated Golden from K-pop Demon Hunters, the first virtual group track in song of the year since Gorillas. And the ceremony itself adds two new categories, best traditional country album and best album cover. [Music]
