Eva Laroo is detailing a scary chapter in her life. Nearly two decades after the actress began receiving disturbing notes that ultimately led to 12 years of terror from a fan turned stalker, she reflects on the devastating experience during an appearance on CBS Mornings. It’s a full body takeover. It really is an absolute rewiring of how you move through your life. There’s no way to ever go back to innocence. Somebody had said, “Well, can you move on now?” No. Yes. I mean, you you never your brain never goes back to not being hypervigilant. The messages, which were sent between 2007 and 2015 before asalent James David Rogers transitioned to voicemails in 2019 per prosecutors, were signed by quote Freddy Krueger, aka the fictional killer from the Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise. This led to Laroo, who was sharing her story in the upcoming docu series My Nightmare Stalker, the evil Laroo’s story, and her daughter Ka McKenna Callahan having to uproot their lives multiple times, saying he ultimately found her high school and called pretending to be her dad and told her to stand in front of the school. He was going to pick her up. And after 12 years of harassing and stalking Laru an Callahan, Rogers was sentenced to more than three years in federal prison in 2022. The 61-year-old, who has since been released, pleaded guilty to quote, “wo counts of mailing threatening communications, one count of threats by Interstate Communications, and two counts of stalking per the US Attorney’s office. Scary.
God protect her and her family. Stalkers are hyperfixated on people that they feel complete them. It's an uphill battle dealing with them because they have nothing to do but harass you unless they are stopped first.
So sad and horrible. I wish Eva and Kaia the best and safest life ever. This sicko should be institutionlized.
