Allison Mack’s shocking new life: From NXIVM “slave master” to social work student

I do want to be a therapist, but I want to be like a PhD therapist. Like I want to be a very well- educated, very like knowledgeable, you know, like I don’t want to be haphazard with somebody’s mental health. Former Smallville actress and convicted Nexium member Allison Mack is once again in the public eye. This time for a surprising career change, a controversial new marriage, and explosive claims about her former co-star. Allison Mack, once a rising television star, became infamous for her role in the Nexium sex cult, where she acted as what prosecutors described as a slave master. In 2021, Mack was sentenced to 3 years in federal prison for racketeering and conspiracy charges. She served 21 months and was released in June 2023. Now, 2 years later, the 43-year-old has reemerged, this time as a graduate student. In a new CBC True Crime podcast, Allison After Nexium, Mack reveals she is pursuing a master’s degree in social work, a dramatic shift for someone once convicted of recruiting women into a secretive and abusive organization. She’s now pursuing a master’s in social work. If that concerns you, I get it. Hearing that might make you think Allison could be using everything she learns about how the mind works to manipulate people. Once again, Allison is incredibly conscious of this. I’m looking at PhD programs in something called expressive arts therapy because there’s one thing that I learned in all of this craziness is that the mental landscape is incredibly fragile. Just because you’re like a good listener doesn’t mean that you should be somebody’s therapist. In the seven-part series, Mac opens up about her sentencing, her family’s pain, and her attempts at rebuilding her life. She describes herself as both a victim and a perpetrator, echoing words used by the judge who sentenced her, who said she had been a slave as well as a master. The podcast also revealed details about Mac’s personal life, including her marriage to Frank Mink, a self-described former neo-Nazi. Miank, now 50, once bore white supremacist tattoos and served time in prison for violent crimes. After renouncing extremism, he began working with nonprofits and speaking publicly about rehabilitation and hate reform, even testifying before Congress in 2020. Mac and Me reportedly met at a Los Angeles dog park in 2024 and married the following June. Their union between two people with dark paths seeking redemption has drawn both fascination and skepticism online. But one of the biggest revelations comes from Mac’s own claims about how she was introduced to Nexium. In the first episode of her podcast, Max says Smallville co-star Kristen Crook first encouraged her to attend Nexium programs nearly two decades ago, describing them at the time as life-changing self-help courses. Crook has long denied any involvement in Nexium’s criminal activities, stating that while she attended a single course in her early 20s, she left years before the group’s darker elements came to light. She said she was horrified and disgusted by what later exposed and maintains she never participated in or witnessed illegal behavior. Nexium founder Keith Rene is serving a 120-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, racketeering, and conspiracy. Prosecutors said Mack played a key role in recruiting women for Reneer’s secret subgroup known as DOS, where members were branded and coerced into submission. In Allison after Nexium, Matt calls her involvement the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life. Her new pursuit of social work raises difficult questions about accountability, rehabilitation, and whether someone who once helped lead a cult can truly rebuild a life dedicated to helping others. As her story continues to unfold, Allison Mac’s next chapter may be one of redemption or renewed controversy.

Former “Smallville” star and convicted NXIVM member Allison Mack has resurfaced with a surprising new career path and controversial personal revelations. Her marriage to a reformed neo-Nazi and claims involving co-star Kristin Kreuk have reignited public scrutiny. 1. I hope for nothing but happy and safe life for her and her husband if they truly have changed. if you don't believe people can change, you should evaluate what you think of correctional facilities…
